Chapter 36: Not So Smooth

"Don't kill my baby boy." I say as I hand Jake over. Perrie laughs behind Zayn as he spins him around and retreats back inside his flat. Yelling a quick, "Bye Jessie!" and Jakob's little scream afterwards. Perrie glows at the sight of her fiance and a kid. I can only imagine the things storming inside her head at the moment. The future she has with Zayn? How many kids will she want? Will he even want kids? What if something happens to us?  She seems to realize I've been waiting here for a while and snaps back from her dreamworld and looks at me. "Oops! Sorry Jess!" She smiles, embarrassed. I shrug and touch her shoulder. "Nothing's going to happen to you two. You guys have made it through what? 3 years? That's already in too deep. You guys are glued together. Nothing is going to tear you apart, you're too strong of a couple to be." She nods her head a couple times thoughtfully before a grin slowly breaks on her face. She pulls me into a hug, then after we pull back, she pushes me playfully. "I missed sincere Jessie." We laugh and say our goodbye's before going our separate ways.

I ride up the lift and back to my floor and proceed back into the house. Wi-fi barks and wags her tale, wanting to play, so I grab her favorite giraffe toy and throw it in the direction of the hall. She runs to go get it but it takes her a while to come back. By the time she does, there's already a knock at the door. Excitedly, I shuffle across the living room and to the flat's door with ease. When I whip it open, there stands my clear canvas, which is Cass just so you don't get confused. She is makeup and dress free and ready for me to work my magic. I may be a tomboy but I know my stuff.

"Cassie!"

"Jessie!" We squeal and hug each other. After our little, "reunion" we pull away from each other and she immediately gets down to details. "He said we'll be going to Maze at 7:25, sharp." She explains somewhat worried. I laugh at her anxiety and grab hold of her shoulders. 

"This is the start of something beautiful Cass! I can feel it in my bones!" She blushes and I rush her inside and up to my room. "You want water, or something?!" I yell as I move towards the kitchen while she retreats upstairs to my room where I'll work my "magic." 

"Oh! Yes please!" She yells back. I laugh and waltz over to my refrigerator to retrieve her water bottle with one of my own. Wi-fi snuck her way back into the kitchen and watches me scuttle around the area looking for a makeup bag I had left in here before. "Ah ha! See, I don't have short term memory loss!" I say to no one in particular, just Wi-fi.... my dog that hardly understands the word "sit."

I shrug and run back upstairs, nearly running into the stair banister and banging my head. But I didn't! 

"Why haven't I been here before?! I want your bed!" Cass yells from her position on my king sized prized jewel. My bed. Her stomach is laid flat on the surface and she looks as if she's about to pass out. I throw the water bottle at her, but not hitting her, and yell, "You've got a date in 2 and a half hours! Let's go woman!" I walk into my bathroom and start plugging in my straightener and curling irons. I prepare and line up my makeup so that way it will be all ready for her when we're done with her hair. "Are you ready?" I call from the bathroom.

"No! This is Niall! How am I suppose to be ready?! Ugh, it's a date but I want it to go perfectly!" She stresses and she mindlessly talks aloud and sits herself on the chair I laid out in the bathroom. 

"Oh hush, it'll go just fine." She looks up at me.

"What if it does't? What if I fart on accident! Or sneeze and buggers come out?! That would be disastrous!" She moves a bit, nearly resulting in the straightening iron to come in contact with her skin.

"Stop moving! Unless you want to become a human example of what it would be like to have first degree burns I suggest you stay still!" I say as I uncurl a strand of her perfect brunette lock, and move on to another.
