A Little Lost

Chapter 8: Gabe POV

The whole mood of the room changed when Rebecca opened her eyes. Just as she did so 5 other vampires ran in. I growled and Rebecca turned to me.

" They are all mine." She said and her powers came off her in waves. I nodded and tried to help Austin. I lifted him up and threw him over my shoulder. I watch Rebecca as she took a step forward and her mother nodded to the others. They lunged for her and stopped in their tracks. Then they started screaming. A high pitched wail of pain. Then their bodies collapsed into each other and their blood stain the floors. And their bodies were flattened. She never looked away from her mother. Her moms face grew cold and she turned around to run. She didn't move then started floating in mid air. She turned and was facing her daughter.

" You left us. You never cared. And now I don't care if I spare you or not. You don't deserve to be apart of our pain any more. You can rot in the special little place in hell they have made just for cold hearted people like you." She said each word as she brought her mother closer to herself. Then out of no where a little voice called out

" Becca?"

She turned and saw Jhonny on the stairs clinging to his blue blanket and holding the paw of his teddy bear as he dragged it along with him. When she saw him her fury melted away. And her mother dropped and started coughing and holding her throat. Her eyes were wide and she turn and disappeared with out a second glance back. Rebecca held out her arms with a small smile and nodded to Jhonny. He tried to stand up but fell back on his butt. She took a step then stopped herself. Jhonny stood up again and held it there. He took a step. Then another. He was two steps away from her then he started to fall back and she caught him. She lifted him up and said

" I'm so proud of you. So smart and strong into such a little guy." He looked up at her and beamed. They hugged tightly as her body began to shake. She gave one last look to me. Then she passed out. I ran and caught her. Jhonny started crying and shaking her.

" Becca wake up. Wake up." I laid her down and picked Jhonny up he was crying and reaching, calling out to her. I said

" Jhonny, please stop she used her powers to protect you. And I guess she used too much."

He shook his head and said

" Becca heart stopped." I frowned and set him back down. He ran over to her. I listened and her heart was stopped. I was about to start panicking but it picked back up as Jhonny ran over to her. I watched as he ran in a bubble that was around her body. He laid down next to her and lightly touched her arm. Her heart thrummed once. Then again. Then started beating. Jhonny said

" Becca wake up..." Her eyes fluttered open and she looked over at him. She lifted her hand and rubbed his head. He sat up and hugged her very tightly. I saw the bubble disappear. I said

" Jhonny let me put Rebecca in her room okay?" He nodded and moved back. I lifted her up and she held out her hand. Jhonny grabbed her finger and giggled. She smiled back and he let go. She let her arm dangle and she passed back out. I turned around and walked her down to her room. I looked down an noticed her face was peaceful as she slept. I opened her door and walked it. I laid her in her bed and covered her back up. I turned and saw Jhonny crawling to the room. He reached for Becca. So I picked him up and laid him next to her. He fell asleep instantly. I left and closed the door quietly with a soft click. I left to go help Austin. I was walking down the hall when the door bell rang. I ran down and opened it.

" I'm here for Rebecca."

The guy at the door was tall. His hair was black and trimmed short. He had tattoos from his hands trailing to his arms. His shirt cut off the rest of the tattoo. And he had a shirt that was grey and had a black skull on the front with a red lighting blot over the skull. I said

" She's asleep right now can you come back at a later time?"

He looked and me and said

" No. Now move."

He pushed me outta the way and started walking towards the stairs.

" You can't go up there!" I called after him and he turned to me.

" And why not? You gonna stop me?"

" Can I just know your name?"

He paused then smiled.

" My name?" He asked.

I nodded.

" My names James."
