A Little Lost

Chapter 12 Dustin's POV

I watched as she fell asleep. Her face looked so peaceful. I heard people coming up the stairs and stop out side her room. I stood up and walked out. I closed the door and came face to face with Austin and Gabe. They didn't look too happy.

" Where's Rebecca?" Austin demanded.

" She's asleep so be quite." I said folding my arms. He gave me a look and said

" I want you gone you Rogue." I smiled and said

" Rebecca wants me to stay so I will until she says for me to go." Austin didn't like that. He grabbed my throat and held me up against the wall.

Austin glared at me and said

" Listen to me you little-"

" Austin stop. Rebecca asked him to stay so don't make her kick your ass. She has him here for a reason. " Gabe said laying his hand on Austin's shoulder. Austin let me go and shook off Gabe's hand. He walked to his room and closed the door. Gabe threw me an apologetic look and walked to the same room Austin went to. I walked down stairs and started to cook.

I was done and started walking back up stairs. The whole house seem to stir and walk past me to eat dinner I cooked. Besides Austin who hadn't come out of his room. I rolled my eyes. I held the tray in one hand as I went to open her door. I felt something pull on my pants. I looked down and saw a little boy. He had blonde hair and light blue eyes. He looked about two. He was in a t-shirt that had a picture of Spider-Man. And was in blue shorts. He pulled again. I smiled and open Rebecca's door. I motioned for him to go in first and he tried to stand. He fell back on his butt. I shifted the tray to the other hand and I held out my hand. His little fist grabbed my hand and pulled himself up. He took one step. Then another. After his fourth step he fell back. He stopped mid air. And started flying. I looked over to see Rebecca sitting up with a smile on her face.

" You're awake!" I said as the little boy let go and he floated over to Rebecca who had out stretched arms. He jumped into her arms and yelled

" Becca!" She giggled and hugged him back.

" Jhonny.." She said kissing the top of his head and rubbing his back. She looked to me and smiled. I walked in and closed the door. I set the tray down on her night stand and asked her

" How ya feeling?" I sat back in the chair and she said

" I'm feeling fine. " she looked back to Jhonny who fell back asleep. I noticed and asked

" Does he always fall asleep?" She shook her head.

" He only falls asleep when I hold him if he hasn't gotten any sleep. I'm the only one who puts him to bed so when any one else tries he doesn't sleep well." She explained moving him over to where her hands and lap was free. She smiled up at me. I stood up and picked up the tray. I set it down on her lap. She said

" Thank you." I shook my head

" It's the least I could do. You are letting me stay here and I love to cook." I said sitting back down in the chair. She paused then said

" Dustin, May I ask a favor from you?" I nodded and stood back up. " Would you gather everyone and tell them it's a family meeting? Would you as Gabe to bring me Jhonnys crib?" I nodded and turned to leave.

" One more thing!" She called and I stopped. " Thank you for saving me. And staying here." I turned and smiled at her.

" I wouldn't want it any other way." I said and left to gather everyone for a house meeting.
