A Little Lost

Chapter 30

When we arrived the battle was raging. Blood was everywhere and so were bodies. Gabe pulled out a battle axe and nodded to Sasha. She pulled out a Bo staff and they both entered before me. I paused then got my bow ready. I ran forth. Gabe and Sasha were racking up bodies. Gabe was surrounded and he beheaded the first two. And did a backflip while staking the other three. He turned around and saw this huge beast. It was tall and huge. It looked like a demon straight from hell. Sasha was running around slicing heads off left and right. Something jumped in front of me I squeaked and shot my arrow. It landed in his head and fell. I looked over to see two more approach. I reloaded my bow but not fast enough. It jumped on me and I hit the floor. My bow slid across the room and I was pinned down. I moved for the knife in my sleeve. I grabbed it and sliced their neck open. Blood covered my face and clothes. I shoved the body off of me. I looked up to see the beast dismembered. Sasha was running over. Gabe was backing up to us giving her cover.

" Becca you okay?" She asked breathless.

" Yeah just go." I said standing up pointing to the next few ones that got past our lines. She nodded and turned. We have a total of five rooms to go in till we reach my mother. Ironic since she has six kids. Gabe lost his battle axe in some time in room two. Still he didn't stop as he grabbed his twin daggers. We made it to room three. It was quiet. No one was there. And there was no blood. Gabe, Sasha and I walked in very cautious. As we walked in so did a man. We paused and Gabe growled.

" Hello everyone." Austin said in a cool collective voice. Gabe stepped forward.

" Go." He said " I'll take it from here." I was about to disagree then Sasha pushed me forward.

" Gabe.." I said reaching. He smiled.

" I'll be fine." He said " Go, it's gonna be okay I'll be on the other side of the door when you get done." I nodded and walked past Austin who was focused on Gabe.

" Been a while, Hasn't it?"

" Yeah.. It has."

" Doesn't this take you back to the first week of training? And I would always win."

" Yes" Gabe said " But not this time. The circumstances are different this time."

Austin chuckled. " I've killed 299 people. You'll be lucky 300."

" Not today Austin. Today you die. Or I die trying."

" Looks like you'll die trying." Austin said. Then they ran forward and clashed weapons. Sasha closed the door and we came face to face with a Giant Troll. Sasha paused.

" Go, I got this. I'm right behind you." She said and grabbed a machete. I ran to the door. I paused and watched her battle. The troll came towards me. She jumped and sliced it's eye. It screamed and hit her. Hard. She flew across the room and the wall collapsed into its self. She stood up and blood started dripping from her head. She step forward and fell to her knees. The Troll stepped forward and picked up its hammer.

" Smash!" It said and started to swing the axe. Gabe cut it's arm off and sliced it's head off. Gabe walked over to Sasha and collapsed next to her. I ran to their side. They both were bleeding and I fell into the growing pool of blood.

" Gabe!! Sasha!!" Gabe coughed and smiled.

" I'm okay. Just taking time to heal. Go on." He said looking up at the light. I nodded and whispered

" Thank you. I'll be back. Stay alive till then." He smiled and nodded. I ran and felt myself crying. I reached the last room and opened the door. I walked into find it empty. I walked over and saw a note in the chair in the middle if the room.

I grabbed the note and read it:

' Dearest Rebecca,

I'm sorry I'm not there but I had other matters to take care of that's pretty far from you. I might even stop by Makayla's for a visit.

Love,

Your mother '

" Shit!" I yelled and turned around and ran back the other way.
