A Little Lost

Chapter 11

I awoke the next morning with some arms around me. I sat up and looked over to see the guy from yesterday in a deep sleep. I stumbled put of bed and hit the floor really hard. He shot up and looked around. I moved away from my bed as he started to look at me. He looked sad.

" Thank you for letting me stay here for the night." He said then started to get up.

" Wait we're you that...?" I paused trailing off. He nodded then reached over to my night stand and grabbed a shirt and slipped it on over his head. I shook my head and stood up. He got out of my bed and stretched. His hair was standing up in most places and his eyes looked like he didn't get much sleep. I walked over to him and said

" Why do you act like a lonely wolf?"

He gave me a small sad smile.

" Cause I am." He said grabbing his belt off the floor and putting it on. I said

" No one takes care of you?" He shook his head.

" Where do you live?" He looked out the window and said

" Anywhere really. Just whatever's most convenient." I nodded and felt bad. He smiled and said

" Thank you again." Then he stepped past me and started to open my door. I paused then thought about it for a moment.

" Wait." I said turning to see my door open and him gone. I looked after him then made up my mind. I threw on jeans, a shirt and a black hoodie. I threw on my shoes and ran from my room. I ran down the hall and jumped over the last bit of steps. I ran and threw open the front door. It was storming outside. I hesitated for a moment the locked the door and ran for the park.

I reached the park about twenty minutes later and saw it was empty. I ran threw to the concrete path I took than to where I first saw him at the pond. I looked around and didn't see him. I started walking to the other side of the pond. I saw movement so I looked down into the pond. I saw something coming to the surface of the mucky water. One second I was looking the next I was being pulled in. My body felt the impact of the water. It was so cold it felt like tiny needles stabbing me. I tried to break free from whatever was holding me but it was useless. Soon my lungs started burning and the cloudy sky started to get harder and harder to see. I looked up. The last of the oxygen escaping my lips. My lungs felt like they were going to burst. Then I heard a splash from above and felt someone's warm arm grab my waist. I felt them pull me and soon I was being pulled up. My head broke the surface and I took a deep breath and started choking. They pulled me over the the side and threw me out I landed on my back. I rolled over and started coughing up pond water. It stung as it came back up. I looked over to see someone get out of the water and walk over. They got on one knee and said

" You should be more careful out here. Just cause it looks friendly during the day doesn't mean it always is." I nodded and finally stopped coughing. I looked up and asked

" Who are you?" He moved into the light and it was him. He touched my face lightly and he felt so warm.

" My name is Dustin. And what were you doing here?"

" Looking for you... Come back.." I said. I tried to get up but my body wasn't responding. His eyes widen then he nodded. He picked me up. His body was so warm I leaned into him. He said

" Listen, Rebecca. I'll stay until you tell me to go or I feel like I need to. I don't like people taking care of me."

I nodded and felt the world start to spin.

" Shit! " he said then pulled something out of my arm. I saw darkness dance on the edge of my vision and start to move closer. Then I felt Dustin start running. And I blacked out.

I woke back up as he was still running and saw my house. Time seemed to pass so fast. Then he was at the door and beating on it. His hair was wet and dripping on my already soaked body. Rose opened the door and screamed. Gabe grabbed me and pulled me inside. Austin went out side. I squirmed. And Gabe kept walking.

" No!!! Stop Austin!!! Gabe please!!" He looked down and said

" This is for your own good. He almost got you killed." He looked away. I elbowed him in the face and he kept walking. Then I said

" I'm sorry." He gave me a questioning look then as soon as he made eye contact he dropped me and I rolled till I hit a wall. I tried to get up and used the wall for support. He grabbed his head and dropped to his knees. I kept him down and moved the best I could till I was at the door. I fell and looked out side. They would clash just as lighting struck over head. I used my powers and got Austin to stop. Grabbing his head and then passing out. Dustin noticed me in the door way laying there. He gabbed Austin and ran inside. He sat him by the door and closed it. I heard the dead bolt click. He picked me up and started to carry me up stairs. We reached my room and he set me down on my bed and left to grab a few things. He came back with a small bowl and a washcloth. He set those down and reached in his pocket. He pulled out a small brown sack and opened it. He reached in and pulled out a Cherry Blossom. He set it in the water and as soon as it touched. The water turned a light pink and the Cherry Blossom dissolved. He placed the rag in and the water seemed to glow. He folded and placed the rag on my forehead. It started glowing and it felt so warm. He left again. And closed the door. Rose came in and took off my wet clothes. She dressed me back in pjs and left. Dustin came back and he was changed too. He pulled the covers over me and pulled out a chair. And soon enough I fell asleep knowing he would be there when I woke up.
