{ Promise? }

Patrick's POV

"Are you ready to go? And where are we going?" She asks

"Yeah I'm ready and it's a surprise." I say with a smirk knowing that Ellen doesn't like surprises

"Ughhhh Paddy! You know I hate surprises." She says with a sign

"Yeah I know but I want the place that we are going to be special." I reply back with a smile

"Oh okay." She says and pecks me on the lips. She turns around, locks her door, and takes my hand in hers and starts walking out of her house into my car.

We get into the car and go to our secret destination.

It takes about 10 minutes in the car until Ellen starts complaining

"Paddyyy when are we going to be there?" She moans while throwing her head back on the seat.

"I find it pretty cute that you are throwing a fit about a surprise. Maybe I should do it more often." I say with a smirk. Ellen just glares at me and gives me a friendly hit in the shoulder making us both laugh.

After a couple minutes, we arrive. I took her to a field covered in flowers with a ginormous single tree in the middle of the field. She gasps and gives me a hug and says

"Thank you Paddy. I love it here." She takes a deep breath to take in the sweet smell of lavender.

"Nothing but the best for my girl." I say

We sit down and eat the picnic that I packed for us and then when we are done, I lay against the tree and she lays on top of me watching the sunset. Just when we are about to leave I reach into my pocket and grab out a box.

I turn to Ellen and open the box and say

"Ellen this is a promise ring. I promise to always love you. I promise to never leave your side. I promise to never cheat on you. I promise to always be there for you. I promise to never hurt you. I promise to make you smile on bad days. Will you accept this ring?" I ask as I take it out of the box
