Patrick's POV
I turn to Ellen and open the box and say
"Ellen this is a promise ring. I promise to always love you. I promise to never leave your side. I promise to never cheat on you. I promise to always be there for you. I promise to never hurt you. I promise to make you smile on bad days. Will you accept this ring?" I ask as I take it out of the box
"Yes Patrick. I will." She says with a single tear running down her face
I get up from my knee kiss her quickly and pull her into a big hug.
"Let's go home and watch a movie." I say with a smile
"Sounds perfect." She replies
At Patrick's house
Ellen and I picked a movie and ordered pizza like we always do. We had a short but meaningful conversation about what we think about this season of Greys and what our characters will be doing. We also made out a little. Who am I kidding? We made out a lot!!
I asked Ellen if she wanted me to walk her home or if she just wanted to spend the night and she just wanted to spend the night. We go upstairs hand in hand and we lie down in my bed.
I rub her back while humming in her ear and when she was about to doze off, I kissed her neck and said
"Goodnight Ellen. I love you so much."
"Goodnight Patrick. I love you too." She says and turns around, gives me a soft passionate quick kiss and then turns around again and falls asleep quickly in my arms.
This is how it should be. Every night. That is exactly why I am going to ask Ellen to move in with me.
