I Love You, so Much

I guess I fell asleep because Peeta woke me up and I was crying. I grabbed onto Peeta so tightly, sobbing. “Do you want to talk about it?” Peeta says concerned. “It wasn’t a nightmare,” I say, “I was dreaming about the day in the woods when I saw you for the first time. And-"

“I know, I was pissed at him for doing that, but you know what? I am glad he did, in a way.” I get a confused look on my face as Peeta says that. “That night I saw you crying, I was hurt because you were hurting. But I saw you see me and then you were gone, I heard my doorbell ring and I saw it was you. I didn’t have any time to say a word because you hugged me and said, ‘I love you, so much.’ and that was the first time you had said that, and I knew you meant it.” I am crying, even more, at Peeta’s words. "I think that was the first time you told someone, let alone me, you loved them in a long time, so I kinda felt special." Peeta says laughing. No wonder why I love him so much, he always knows what to say to make me better. I lean in to kiss him, but we get interrupted by the conductor.

“Alright passengers, we are about ten minutes from your destination of Dis-” Peeta covers my ears so I can’t hear what the conductor was saying. “That was a close one.” Peeta says laughing. “Damn it.” I say with a laugh, too. After our laughing fit, Peeta kisses me so passionately and I run my hands through his luscious locks and then the train stops and we are here. Peeta blindfolds me still not wanting me to know where we are. “I am going to find out soon, so why are you blindfolding me?” I whine like a little child. “Would you just wait?” Peeta pleads. He guides me off the train and he picks me up bridal style, running away before anyone knows we are here, I am guessing. That doesn’t work, though. Before we know it, we are being bombarded by hundreds of people.

When we escape the crowd, Peeta stops and puts me down and the ground feels uneven. “What do you sense right now?” Peeta asks with a seductive voice. The air smells salty, too. I know what he is talking about. The uneven ground, the salt air, we are in District Four! I rip off my blindfold and jump on Peeta. “So you like where we are?” Peeta says. “Of course, Peeta!” I say kissing him. We sit on the beach for a few minutes, sitting all tangled up in each other’s skin. I turn to face him saying, “You have your ways, Mr. Mellark.” I plant a huge kiss on his lips, and we fall back onto the sand. Peeta jumps, “What happened? Did I catch you by surprise?” I say laughing. “Very funny, but no. That son of a bitch bit me.” Peeta says pointing to little sea crab. “Oh, man up!” I say laughing.

Then Peeta takes me to a house, I ask whose house it is, but he doesn’t answer me. Peeta knocks on the door and we are greeted by Annie!

My face along with hers and Peeta’s lights up. I am in tears and I hug Annie. “How have you been? I haven’t seen you since Flynn’s birthday.” Annie asks in her pleasant voice. “We’ve been good, great actually.” Peeta says placing a kiss on my lips.

I then see little Flynn come up behind Annie and gives us a smile. He is a mirror image of Finnick.
