Love & Forgiveness

There was a man named Allan
A man whose smile had long gone
Ever since his daughter hated him and ran away after
The man lost his chance to become a father

He could still remembered the old days
When he and his daughter would play,
Run outside their house, make things from clays
How he miss when his daughter will give him a warm embrace

When his wife died, he forgot about her
He forgot that he still have his little daughter
That longed for his love and attention
She didn't get anything but rejection

He killed his time working
While his daughter is patiently waiting
Patiently praying that she will feel loved again
But it never happened

Now he regret that he neglected her
His lovely,joyful and only daughter
She no longer sees him as a father
She only sees him now as a stranger

He tried to reach out and said he's sorry
He need his daughter more than his money
He cried hard and when he saw in his daughter eyes,
They were full of anger and as cold as an ice

But he never gave up until he wins his daughter back
He did everything, gave everything he can
He asked for a chance, he won't stop
Until his daughter is with him again

"My daughter, let me be your dad
That will hug and kiss you whenever you're sad.
I know I've been very bad father to you
I love you my princess, I always do."

He's daughter tried to hold back her tears
She wanted to hug him but she fears
That he will never be a father to her again
No, she doesn't want to feel the unbearable pain

But her heart says otherwise
She went near to her father and without thinking twice
She hug him and cried over his shoulders
Oh, how she longed to hug her father

Years later, the father died
But he died with a faint smile in his lips
Because he was already forgiven and loved
By his only daughter that he treasures the most
