From the last time I saw him I didn't think he was that attractive.
But now?
Damn.
His brown hair hung right below his eye brows combed to the side.
His green eyes stared into mine like they needed to tell me something.
He was wearing a long sleeved muscle shirt that showed off his toned chest.
And trust me I could tell he was toned.
Riley what are you doing?
Focus.
"I haven't seen you in a while." He said breaking me out of staring.
"Wha? O..oh...y...yea. Long time no see." I said fake smiling a little bit.
I turned to the pool again, and starting thinking.
He sat down right next to me, making me kind of uncomfortable. But I knew he wouldn't hurt me, so I relaxed.
"I thought you didn't like parties?" He asked.
"I..I don't," I said chuckling," I came for my friend Chloe."
I pointed to the window, and he looked at Chloe dancing with a guy, looking like she was having a good time.
Which made me smile.
He turned his attention to me.
"You look..pretty amazing Riley."
"Thank you." My cheeks were turning a bright shade of red, I could feel it.
Wait..no. Don't blush. You don't really like him? He's probably hiding secrets from you just like your parents. I thought to myself.
"So, what are you doing here? I thought you were out of high school?" I asked him.
"I'm a senior...actually. Just enjoying my last years in high school." He said looking down.
"Mmm...I get that." I said.
I looked down at my phone to see that it was 11:30, and myself yawning.
"Uh..I think I'm going to head home...nice talking to you though." I said walking away with a wave.
He got up quickly, and walked towards me.
"W...wait. I can drive you if you want. I kind of wanna ditch this place anyways. I don't like parties either." He asked me putting his hands in his pockets.
I thought for a second, but then agreed, and we headed to his car.
We got in, and started to drive. It was pretty awkward, but manageable.
We stopped at my house, and before exiting, I turned to him.
"T..thanks. For the ride." I said smiling a little.
I got out of the car, and went into my house.
I sighed deeply, took off my heels, and headed upstairs.
My mom walked out of her bedroom looking like she just got up.
"Oh! Sorry mom..I didn't mean to wake you." I said whispering.
"It's okay hunny! Just wanted to make sure you were okay...oh! And the Clark's are coming for dinner tomorrow."
I paused before opening my door, and turned around.
"Jason?" I asked.
"Yes...is that a problem? Is he mean to you?" She asked with worry in her voice.
"No..mom. It's okay.. I'm going to go to bed." I kissed her cheek.
I took a quick shower before heading off to bed.
And slowly fell to sleep.
