I woke up to the smell of earths floor. I fluttered my eyes open to a dark blue star filled sky.

I took my eyes a while to adjust, but then it hit me.

Jason.

I sat up quickly, but immediately got dizzy. I held my head in my hands until I regained my strength.

What I'm I going to do?

I didn't know if I should go back, and try to look for him. But that looks like the best option.

I started walking back towards the hotel. I crossed my arms, because damn. It was cold.

I heard a rustle in the leaves behind me, and I started to run.

Not before long I got to the edge of the forest staring at the hotel.

The black SUV was still in the same place it was this morning.

Great.

I needed to make a run for the back door in the alley. But I hate alleys.

This is like the perfect horror movie. Like why me?

I got ready to sprint over there looking to both sides of me making sure that there was no one watching.

Then I took off.

I prayed to god that no one would see me.

I felt a hand go around my wrist, and my heart dropped. My back was met with a hard chest.

I began to kick, and try to get them away from me. But they just held me tighter, and whispered something in my ear.

"Riley, Riley! It's me."

They slowly let go of me and I turned around.

Thank god.

Jason.

I threw my arms around his neck, and as always, he followed around my waist.

"I'm so sorry, I'm so so sorry. I shouldn't have left you. I'm so stupid, and naive." I said almost crying.

"Riley, it wasn't your fault. You were right to run. And I don't blame you, if what happened yesterday happened to me, I would be long gone before they could come even close to me." He said setting me down.

"It was my fault. I shouldn't of left you, when I'm not with you, I'm like a deer in head lights. I don't know what to do. I feel lost." I looked down.

It's true. I feel alone. I feel like no one understands me. I'm so...

Confused.

"Riley. Your okay. You were right coming back here. I knew you would. I'm here and that's all that matters. I'm glad your okay though." He said tilting up my chin.

God damn those eyes.

Why do they have to be so...freaking gorgeous?

"We need to leave. Now. I think we're going to head up towards my brothers house. He lives in San Diego. But we need to find your dads Ferrari. Come on." He said pulling me along.

I miss my dad.

Dang bi-polar much Riley?

We rounded the corner of the parking lot slowly. No one was out because it was like 12:30 pm.

But just to be sure, we were cautious getting to the car.

I was just about to get in the car before I spotted something shiny on the ground.

My moms necklace.

How the hell did that get over here?

I felt a cold piece of metal touch the side of my head, and my heart dropped.

"Never thought I would see you again." The person said holding me at gun point.

That voice was familiar.

Whoever it was had Jason at gun point also.

I held my moms necklace tighter, praying that nothing would happen to Jason.

He didn't deserve this.

I turned to see who was my attacker.

I immediately froze seeing the beautiful face of my best friend.

Chloe.

******a/n******

If you don't remember who Chloe is, it's Riley bestfriend at the beginning of the book.
