Chapter 39

****Faith's POV****

"Faith it was Beast. I swear. I couldn't do anything." Austin pleaded once again.

I wanted to forgive him, but those were my parents. My own parents. The people that loved me for me since the day they laid eyes on me. The people that were there for me through thick and thin from the start. I just needed some time. Just some time to clear this all out.

"Austin, just stop." I was biting my bottom lip trying not to cry.

"Well for the record, I missed you. And you look beautiful as always." He said to me.

I heard a low, growl it sounded like, coming from Jake. He came to my side, and draped a arm over my waist. Staring daggers into Austin.

"Wha- who's this?" Austin asked.

"Doesn't matter," I said as my eyes landed on Jason, he was coughing up blood.

I ran over to him, Jake and Austin following. Jake tapped me on the shoulder as I studied Jason's wounds.

"She's gone."

My eyes went wide, and my head snapped over to Chloe's location.

She was gone.

I shook my head,"Doesn't matter, let's worry about Riley, and Jason right now."

I inspected Jason further. He had cuts all over his face, he looked horrible.

"God, I wish Riley was here." I mumbled.

"Where-cough-is she? Is-cough-she okay?" Jason tried hard to speak.

"She's not here yet, it's okay." I said.

He laid his head back, and I could tell he was in a lot of pain.

I heard a car drive by, and I immediately looked up. I saw an old car, and it stopped here.

I got up, and walked over to the door, as did Austin and Jake. I saw the drivers side open. I looked at Jake.

"Is that her?"I asked.

He smiled,"Yep."

I tried to run out, but of course my luck I couldn't because of the damn for field shit.

I looked up, to see her full speed towards the house. She was smiling as she saw jake, and I knew she knew Jason was here. Her eyes were filled with tears.

She got to the front door, and got pushed back. The force field was keeping her out too.

"Jake! Oh my gosh. If I could hug you right now I would. Is he here-" her eyes landed on Austin,"You." She said with venom.

"Riley it's okay, I'll explain later. We just need to find a way out of this vortex. I'm Faith by the way." I said.

She smiled, but it quickly faded as she stared at something behind us.

Next thing I knew, I was on floor with no control over my body. I was paralyzed.

****Riley's POV****

I sped up towards the house, and looked at the front door as I slowed down.

My face lightened as I saw Jake, and an unknown girl standing there smiling.

I opened the car door, and didn't even bother closing it. I sprinted towards the house, with tears in my eyes.

I got to the door, and was about to go in, but I got pushed back by an invisible force.

I didn't care. I was happy to at least see someone that I could trust.

"Jake! Oh my gosh. If I could hug you right now I would. Is he here-"My eyes landed on the face I never wanted to see again,"You." I spat.

"Riley it's okay, I'll explain later. We just need to find a way out of this vortex. I'm Faith by the way." I smiled.

My gaze fell behind them as I saw those devil eyes once again.

Chloe.

She put a shot in each Austin, Jake, and Faith's neck. I tried to reach out and prevent it, but got pushed back again.

I was left there speechless. Tears falling down my cheeks. She laughed, and stepped out of the way of the door way.

My eyes landed on a body crawling towards the door way. It looked up, and I was met with those neon green eyes.

"Jason!" I ran at the door again, pushing at the force. Nothing was working.

Jason was cut up, bruised, beaten, and the worse thing of all, he was in a room with Chloe.

"Riley.." He could barely say my name.

Chloe made her way over to Jason, keeping her devilish smile.

"I swear to god Chloe, don't you dare hurt him." I pounded on the force, and stared at her eyes think of the worst possible pain known to man. She was immune to it.

"Your really think I'm going to let you guys get away? Nice try sweetie."
