****Faith's POV****

****Flashback****

Austin and I have been dating for about a year and a half. I absolutely adore him, he makes my day one hundred times brighter.

I'm walking over to his house right now, and I think were just going to hangout at his house.

I knocked on the door, smiling waiting for him to answer.

He opened the door, and his face lit up. He picked me up, and quickly pecked me on the lips.

"What do you wanna do?" He asked me, walking into his house.

"Wanna watch a movie?" I asked.

He nodded, and smiled.

We picked out a movie, the hunger games, and sat down on the couch.

About an hour into the movie, I was thirsty, so I reach over on the coffee table to grab my glass of water.

On accident, my finger pushed it over, and the water went all over the coffee table.

"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry. I'll clean it-" he cut me off.

"Faith? What the hell!? Do you know how much that costs!?" He yelled.

Why is he yelling at me?

"It's just wat-" I stepped back getting scared.

His eyes were pitch black. It's like it wasn't him anymore.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

He looked up at me, and shook his head, and his eyes regained their natural color.

He mumbled a 'I'm fine' and took off running up stairs.

Well that was confusing.

I cleaned up the water, and decided to go home.

***the next day****

I woke up, and got myself ready.

I thought a lot yesterday, and I think me and Austin need a break. He's been acting really weird.

I walked over to his house once again, and he opened the door.

His face looked drained, and I felt bad.

He opened the door for me to come in, but I awkwardly declined it.

"Look, Austin, I think we need a break. I don't know what happen yesterday, and I just think we both need it." I said softly, trying not to make eye contact with him.

But when I did, his eyes were absolutely black, and they weren't going to turn back.

"Uh..Austin?" I said backing up a little.

His hand came up, and made contact with my cheek.

I clutched it, as tears began welling up in my eyes.

"What's wrong with you?" I yelled.

****end of flashback****

"Faith?" Jason nudged me with his elbow breaking me out of my trance.

"Are you okay?" Jake asked.

"We need to get her out of there. Now." I said with authority in my voice.

Jason stood up, and looked worried.

"Why? What's wrong with him? What did he do to you?"

I took a deep breath getting prepared to tell him the whole story.

From the fairy tale, to the abuse.

I told them that he wasn't Austin anymore, and I don't know what caused it, and that Riley is in a lot of abusive contact.

"Wait, then why am I in pain?" Jason asked.

****Jason's POV****

"Wait, then why am I in pain?" I asked confused.

Faith smiled, and looked down.

"You are feeling her pain. Your bond is getting stronger. Because your a protector, you will be able to feel when your soulmate is in pain."

I went tense.

"Then we need to find her quick. Because that pain was excruciating. Did you see anything about where she would be Faith?"

She looked down, but then her face got bright.

"I think I know where she is."
