I went wide eyed, and froze.

I made my way over to the bed to shake Jason awake. But he wouldn't wake up, he would just moan and turn over.

"Jason, they're here. We need to go!" I said.

He shot up from the bed.

Our heads shot towards the door, as we heard the elevator ding.

"Grab anything you can, and jump out the window." He said grabbing a few things.

I paused, and turned to him.

"Window?!?"

"Were on the second floor you'll be fine. Just do it before they get in the room." He said nudging me towards the window.

I opened it, and Jason jump out first. He made it successfully.

I looked out the window down at the grass where I would land.

I heard the door open, and shot my head back.

Not them. Not this time.

I quickly jumped out, landing swiftly on my feet, right before they could grab me.

Jason and I booked it into the forest.

I'm not letting them take any of my loved ones again.

They can't take what they want.

Ever again.

Jason was running out of breath, but still keeping up the speed.

I ran a little ways in front of him, until I heard him grunt in pain.

I stopped and turn around.

He was clutching his shin.

I immediately ran towards him, and kneeled down next to him.

"Riley it's broken I can feel it. Go. Run. Run without me I will find you later I promise."

I looked at him like he was crazy.

"Are you kidding me? I'm not leaving you here."

I slowly lifted up his bloody pant leg, and put my hand on his shin. He clenched his jaw in pain, but then something amazing happened.

It started to disappear.

The blood, the bruises, and soon he stood up like nothing happened at all.

He smiled.

"Riley it's your gift. Your seventeen. And your a healer."

I backed up examining my palms.

Healer?
