****Riley’s POV****

That scream left me breathless. My headache vanished completely, but all I could hear was very faint voice that sounded like Jason’s.

I need to get out of here before anything happens again, I thought to myself.

I sprint in a straight line to where I thought the location of the truck was. Luckily, I found it, and hopped right in. I remembered that I never turned off the truck when I bolted into the forest, so I stepped on the gas pedal creeping to about sixty miles per hour. I kept hearing Jason’s soft voice in my ear, but I couldn’t tell what it was saying.

My hands were tight around the steering wheel, knuckles turning white, I started to get anxious. His voice was getting louder once again. I glanced in the rear view mirror only to see a pair of bright head lights following not too far behind me. My gaze went back to the road, and I gasped to see another phantom of Jason staring at me.

My foot slammed the pedal all the way down to the ground. I knew that I was close, I had to be. My eyes were only looking at the road in front of me and blocking out anything else.

I needed to get there and end this torture.

I saw a turn off coming up on my left and I didn’t hesitate to stop at the stop sign behind it. The tires screeched as I turned on to an isolated road that looked like it led to the middle of oblivion. After about five minutes, it formed into a paved road, and the trees parted to expose the huge office that my heart ached seeing. There were no parking spots, so I just pulled off in the middle of the grass and hopped out.

I held my head in my hands because my headache started to tear up my brain again. I heard a loud engine pull up behind me, but I could care less. I started up the steps, and the tears started to blur my vision. The headache was more painful that it had ever been.

I heard a car door slam, and that made my head ache worse. I quickened my speed up the steps, and was almost at the top.

“RILEY!”

My body froze. This voice was Jason’s I was sure of it. It sounded so really gently floating into my ear. I slowly turned around and my eyes adjusted to the moonlight hitting a figure standing a few yards away from me.

It was him. His brown hair was messy as always, which made me smile. Those green eyes glowed in the darkness, and again looked like they were trying to tell me something. His muscular arms were rested at his sides with his fists clenched. I glance back up at his face, and he looks perfect. Absolutely flawless. His eyes flashed a gold color, which made me jump.

No. No, this isn’t him. This is just in your head Riley. He died in your arms, and you couldn’t heal him. It’s done.

My hands tugged at the roots of my hair, “Get out of my head.”

Tears brimming my eyes once again, I bolted for the front door of the office. As my hand hit the cold metal of the handle, I let out a sob.

So this is it huh? Well, I would rather end this torture.

I flung open the door faster than I would because I heard foot steps behind me. A long corridor awaited me ahead. I started to sprint down it only to be stopped by a strong grip around my wrist. I began to yank my wrist away, but I was too weak.
