"How'd the training go?" I heard a familiar voice ask as I pushed the door to the bedroom open, stepping inside.
"It went awesome!" I grinned, but caught myself halfway when I noticed the owner of said voice was none other than Ryuu. "It was okay." I corrected with a shrug.
"Yeah," an exhausted voice came from behind me. Seconds later Jiro popped into the room, his clothes disleveled and hair standing in every direction as the usual beat in his step was missing.
"So awesome." He mumbled before lunging his body face first into the nearest bed.
"If I didn't know better I would've thought she beat you up and stole your lunch money." Ryuu shot me a mischievous look, a smirk inching to his face. "Too bad she's way too weak to even make a scratch on someone."
"Really? The only thing weak here are your comebacks." I shot back.
"I could break you at any second so watch your mouth. You're just a little girl, after all." His eyes narrowed into slits as he stared me down. I gave him my best glare in return right before a voice spoke.
"Says the one who got his ankle dislocated by that little girl." An unexpected snort came from Shin's mouth. I turned my eyes to him, and much to my surprise (note the sarcasm) he laid on his own mattress, his gaze locked on the ceiling.
"Dude!" Ryuu threw his hands up in the air with an exasperated sigh. "Which side are you on?"
"I'm on the side of justice." Shin mumbled, glancing shortly at both of us.
"Since when do you care about justice?" Ryuu raised his eyebrows at him.
I caught the lilac haired boy unconsciously bringing a hand to his ankle on the bed, managing to notice the area still covered by those stretchy bandages. The rest of his body was still wrapped in cloth bandages and I couldn't hold the smirk eating at my lips.
Who did I really beat up, Jiro? Or Ryuu?
"None of your business." Shin offered a small shrug.
"Um, guys?" I interrupted. "Did Jiro die?"
All three of us looked over at the blond who still laid face down on his bed and hadn't uttered a single word since arriving, which was way too uncharacteristic of him.
"Is he even breathing?" Ryuu squinted his eyes at the boy before walking over to him, turning Jiro face up.
"He's not reacting." Ryuu said after slapping his face...multiple times.
"Try pulling his hair." I offered, but after a few tries, or yanks, it proved futile. "So what now? Do we tell Madam A he died?"
"I know!" A smirk suddenly washed over Ryuu's face, his eyes glinting with a devious look. "Doesn't the curse break with a kiss?"
His eyebrows wiggled in amusement, winking at me before lowering his body towards the motionless blond. My eyes immediately widened in surprise as I realized what he was about to do.
Before I could say anything, Shin's own voice cut me off.
"Don't even think about it."
I was taken aback, noy only by the demanding tone coming from the boy, but the fact that he was looking straight at the other two, for the first time since I'd been here he was giving them his undivided attention.
Ryuu's smirk widened as he nonchalantly pushed away. "That's the reaction I was looking for."
Shin's glare didn't affect him at all. Instead he turned to me. "Now on to wake up that idiot. Emi, could you scream for me real quick?" Ryuu asked.
