Tamales341 Although they don't recognize it yet, both Emi and Rei have feelings for each other. Of course, they don't know what a relationship is or how it's supposed to feel. To answer the question, our OTP is still not together. Because they were just children, a romantic relationship between them would be too forced. But that is the goal, and now they are going to work their way up to recognizing their feelings for each other.
As for what happened, in the manga and anime there was a raid on the restaurant where Rei scrapped, and the CCG freed him from his position as a scrapper. Now the CCG has custody over Rei, Emi, Shin and Ryuu.
xxunrxvelingxx I cannot give away information on the Sakamaki brothers without it being a spoiler. I can say one thing, though. The human Rei was forced to eat was not Laito. Not all of the brothers are dead. Some are enslaved by ghouls, and some are free. The only CONFIRMED dead one is Ayato.
As for the necklaces, only the triplets have them, as they were a 'gift' from their mother. It was her way of branding the boys. Ayato gave his necklace to Rei, and Ryuu gave it to Emi.
Unfortunately, Jiro is dead and will very much stay that way.
Wolfbane2015 YEEES! Ryuu is *barely* alive. He's unconscious, and lost a lot of blood. But our psychotic cinnamon roll has not left us yet!
_Salem- thank you! I have a second book planned out, and yes it's about them going through their teen years and adjusting to the outside world. I'll post it, and whether I continue it or not depends on the amount of people who are interesting in reading.
Ameliah96 Ok, this is a sad question, haha. Ever since Jiro's first appearance, I knew I was going to kill him off at the end. His purpose was for Emi to develop empathy, trust and awareness for others. He ended up being my favorite character, and killing him hurt me more than I thought it would. And don't worry! Ryuu is not dead yet! Both Jiro and Ryuu underwent an enormous transformation and character growth in the last chapters. Sadly, we wont be seeing Jiro again. But who knows about Ryuu ;)
