"So you finally decided to show up. I'm happy you could join us today." Madam A smiled, sarcasm dripping elegantly from her voice as she directed her attention towards the coal haired boy near the door.
Shin looked back at her, bored eyes seemingly challenging the female to say another word. Madam A smirked, the same daring look on her face as she refused to back down.
We had been called to Madam A's office a couple of minutes ago, the only one left was Shin who had been nowhere in sight at the time she called us. Upon realizing the boy was not with us Madam A had decided to wait for him, deeming it useless to explain it to us alone.
Everyone turned their heads to Jiro as he cleared his throat loudly, a stern look directed at Shin. The boy in question simply shrugged and closed the door behind him before slowly making his way to Ryuu's side.
"Way to make an entrance." The lilac haired boy joked, earning a small smirk from Shin.
"I try my best."
"Now that we're all present." Madam A continued, resting her chin on her delicate fingers. "I'd like to discuss why I've called you all here today."
"Nobody's stopping you." I pipped in, my shoulders rising up in a shrug.
Maybe I was spending way too much time with Shin...
"Honey," this time Madam A directed a glare at me. "I can do bad things to you, so I suggest you shut up."
I returned her glare but kept my lips sealed, knowing well what she meant. She would hit me where it hurt the most, and I don't even have to say what she meant because it was obvious.
"As I was saying," the woman continued, her legs crossed as the top one bonced up and down lightly. "I decided to give you your first mission as an Elite team with Emi."
Immediately Ryuu was the first to oppose.
"Madam, she'll just slow us down! Why can't we go alone?" He whined, earning a dirty stare from me.
"Like it or not, she's part of our team you idiot." Jiro smacked the boy upside the head.
"Oi, what the hell!" Ryuu growled but before he could do anything Shin was already in between the two, his figure preventing both of them from lunging at each other.
"My baby Jiro is right," Madam A added, silencing the two boys. "Emi is part of the team now. I think I've given you enough practice to adjust as a group. Now you're going to show me how you can handle working together." She finished, a small smirk tugging at her lips as he passed her gaze between everyone.
"You guys already know what will happen if you fail, but I hope I won't have to reach those extremes."
The boys' bodies went rigid as they stared back at the blonde woman in front of them, my own face holding a confused look until I finally remembered.
They're elites. If they haven't been able to escape, that means Madam A has to be just as bad as Mama...
"You wont Ma'." Jiro quickly reassured. "We promise."
Madam A smiled contently at the answer, shooting Jiro a wink in approval before turning to the rest of us.
"For the mission," she began as her gaze dropped to two folders sitting on top of her desk. "You'll choose between a transportation or a bounty hunting assignment."
Pushing the two folders in our direction she silently waited for one of us to pick them up. I looked around, noticing none of the boys made a move to get the two folders.
