Chapter 69 ey?
This calls for smut.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
~~~~~~~~~~
"Ryuu." I whimpered, hating the pleading tone my voice had taken, absolutely despising how the lilac haired boy had me bending to his will."Beg for it." I heard his clear voice, an innocent ring gracing it even though it dripped with amusement, a feat only Ryuu was capable of doing.
His bright lilac gaze pinned me down like a master watching its hamster spin endlessly on a wheel and no matter how bad I wanted to stop, deep down I knew I wanted it.
"Please."
"What was that?" His eyes widened, a spark running through them as he stepped even closer to me.
"Please, Ryuu. Just give it to me." I looked away, not able to stare at his triumphant expression.
"Could you just give her the damn candy already?"
Jiro stared at us with with an exasperated expression, a glare directed more at Ryuu's direction. The lilac haired boy huffed, rolling his eyes as he crossed his arms above his chest.
"Party pooper."
HAHAH SIKE! BISH U THOUGHT!
No smut. Sorry for all those Ryumi shippers out there XD not today.
Anyway, the real chapter starts here!
My stomach was in knots, a queasy feeling invading my body as I stood right in front of the door that separated me from the inside, where a bunch of unaware scrappers were probably getting ready to put on a show, and maybe, Rei would be among them.
The thought made my heart want to break free from its cage.
We all stood behind the woman who was having a curt conversation with the bouncer of the restaurant. It was a different one, I noticed, than the one working here two years ago. I wondered what happened to the previous one. Had he retired, finally realizing how twisted this place really was? Had he been killed by a ghoul, or even one of the scrappers?
The conversation between them seemed to end as the bouncer gave her a nod and silently allowed our entry. Madam A did not turn to us once. She already knew we would be following right behind her, like four obedient puppies trained to follow their owner to the grave.
I could feel my breathing stop as the doors to the restaurant were pulled open, the blonde woman immediately stepping inside. For a split second we all just stood there, each of us having different reasons to be frozen in place as we watched Madam A's self-dignified figure walk in front.
It was Ryuu who first stepped up. His chin was held high, lilac gaze trained in front as he walked through the doors like a giant. His presence made more than one head turn, making a smug smile appear on his face. Anyone who really knew him however, basically limited to us remaining elites, could notice the usual spark in his eyes was not there. Something in his expression screamed that he wanted to get this over with.
As if being pulled on a short leash Shin immediately followed the lilac haired boy, his cold, hard glare contrasting harshly with Ryuu's vivid one. Shin's hands burried deep into his pockets as his electrifying blue gaze zoomed over every inch of the restaurant lobby, his mind racing with different scenarios and ways to get by them.
I would've followed right after him, a wave of anxiousness hitting me as I saw their retreating backs. I could not move an inch however, because something else caught my eye and demanded my attention.
Jiro stood a few feet away from me, his hazel gaze wide and trained on the doors in front of us. His feet were merged with the concrete below him, limbs shaking violently as his chest rose and fell at a rapid pace.
I immediately suffered for the boy. He had been silent all the way from Madam A's base to here, something so uncharacteristic of him that all of the elites had wondered if he was even alive.
Jiro insisted that something bad would happen. It haunted him, like a dog that barked fiercely moments before a devastating earthquake.
I took a deep breath, extending my arm and slowly sliding my hand inside his. The silent reassurance seemed to snap the blond out of his daze. He blinked at me, and for a second I managed to catch a glimpse of how scared he really was.
I smiled, showing him everything would be okay, and for some reason he believed me.
I walked through the doors of the restaurant, pulling Jiro slightly until he settled his step right next to me. People were whispering non-stop, their gazes locked on Madam A and the four that quietly followed her. We stood out like a sore thumb. The restaurant was no place for elites, and they knew.
The restaurant lobby had also changed. The furniture had been replaced with newer models, the color of the walls seemed more vivid now, even the tender, artificial breeze from the air console running through the area was new.
The place could definitely pass as a normal restaurant for the rich, even though every single pair of eyes followed us with a hungry gaze.
Madam A stopped right at the front desk, beginning another conversation with the male behind it. I tuned out their voices, concentrating on rubbing my thumb over the back of Jiro's hand which still shook profusely. Slightly pulling on his arm, I made him bend enough to reach his ear.
"I know this is all new to you, Jiro. Please, try to breathe and calm down a bit. Scrappers can smell fear a mile away and first impressions mean everything."
He looked down at me through desperate hazel eyes but nodded nonetheless. I caught sight of his chest expanding as he began taking deep breaths, attempting to steady himself.
"Well guys," Madam A's voice caught my attention. "This is as far as I'll go. Behind that door is the waiting area for scrappers." She said, pointing at a door a couple of feet away from the front desk. Her figure lowered herself slightly so that even Ryuu and I, who were the shortest ones, could lock our gazes with her.
"You guys are elites. You all have the skills necessary to climb to the top. Now scrap with all you've got, put on the best show we have ever seen." She smiled sweetly at us before straightening up.
"I trust Emi will make sure my boys are out of harm's way." She winked at me. "Goodbye my children."
And with that she ushered us toward the awaiting door that separated us from the rest of the scrappers who potentially wanted our guts on a platter.
*ahem*Well guys. Yes. We're almost there. I'm scared :")
PREVIOUS TRIVIA: Who can come up with the coolest handshake?
Answer: Jiro and Shin are the only ones with a handshake. They've had it since they started working together as elites a long, long time ago, and it's pretty dope if I do say so myself. Although they don't use it now, they both know it by heart.
~~~~~~~TRIVIA: If needed, who would most likely crossdress?
A. Ryuu
B. Shin
C. Jiro
