I found myself
not in a classroom
or a corporate job.
I found myself
in drawing
painting
art.
I found myself
in music
concerts
and festivals.
I found myself
in writing
poetry.
I found myself in all of the things that they don't want you to find yourself in.
They want to take
those passions away from you.
They want you to go to college
work for a higher power
get married
and then die.
Fuck that.
FUCK
ALL
THAT.
I refuse.
I refuse to be pushed into a box that I do not fit in.
I refuse
to let
them dull my passion
for the things
that make me feel
alive.
