Your mental illness does NOT define you.
Do not let anyone tell you that you are too much.
Your bipolar disorder does not make you annoyingly unpredictable.
Your depressive thoughts do not make you into an attention seeker.
Your obsessive-compulsive disorder does not make you a freak;
just like your social anxiety does not make you over-dramatic.
You see
people will try to label you.
They will attempt to use other words to define you by your illnesses
because it is what makes sense in their shallow minds.
You do not need these kinds of people in your life.
You do not have to surround yourself with people that fail to understand you
people that make you feel uncomfortable in your own skin
people that make you feel unwanted.
Do what you need to do in order to help yourself.
Make risky choices that will end up benefitting your mental health in the long run.
And
whatever you do
do not allow your mental illness to define you.
It is only a small part of you
and you
are so beautiful
and so needed on this wonderful planet
please remember that.
