Sorry it took so long. I've been busy with spring semester and also a bit of writer's block. I'll try to get into steady updates as much as I can.

“C’mon, babe,” Liam sighed. “You need to eat something. It’s been two days.” I stared blankly at the wall, his words being heard but easily dismissed as I sat rigid on the bed, my whole body numb.
Numb from feeling.
Numb from emotion.
Numb from pain.
“Please, this isn’t healthy,” he continued to beg. “I-I don’t know what else to do, babe. Is there someone I can call?” A shudder ran through me and I stiffly curled my knees to my chest.
“That someone is dead, Liam.” There was a deep sigh and he picked up my phone from the bedside table before leaving the room, his eyes fixated on the screen. I don’t know how long passed, but before I knew it, there was a small knock on the doorframe, footsteps approaching me and the bed dipping.
“Liam says you haven’t eaten for two days, is that true?” his deep Cheshire voice questioned softly, receiving a rigid nod. “In that case, I brought you something. It won’t make things better, but it may just brighten your day at least.” He uncurled a paper sack he had brought to pull out a flimsy cardboard box with a string tied around it.
“Double chocolate chip muffin, still warm,” he murmured. “It’s your favorite, darling.”
“I don’t want any,” I muttered, silence permeating the room as Harry pondered what to do. The sound of unwrapping could be heard and suddenly there was something warm being pressed to my lips. My eyes slowly drifted over to him to find his slender fingers holding a small piece of muffin to my chapped lips.
“C’mon, open up,” he coaxed softly. “It’ll make that awful rumbling in your tummy stop.” I muttered something under my breath and saw the british lad’s brow furrow.
“What was that?”
“I-It lets me know I’m alive,” I repeated hoarsely. “The hunger lets me know that I’m still here.”
“Open your mouth,” he requested again, even more gentle than before it was even possible. “I want to show you something.” I hesitantly did as he said, the fluffy substance being pushed passed my parted lips and into my mouth.
“Chew,” he coaxed. “Slowly. Savor the flavor.” Confusion was running through my body as I did as he said, my tastebuds literally screaming with joy at the morsel of delicious food. Another piece was brought to my mouth and this time I made no protest, I gladly accepted it, my eyes closing as I savored the richness.
“There’s more than one way to remind you that you’re alive,” he breathed. “Some…more pleasurable than others.” I tensed as I felt him shift closer, my eyes growing wide as I only had a split second to register that he was literally moving on top of me, his lips attaching to my own.”
“MMMMFFF!” I screamed, the desperate sound muffled by his mouth. “LMT MI GOOOO! LWIAM!!!!!” There were loud, hurried footsteps and Harry’s shirt was grabbed, his body being wrenched back in one swift movements.
“YOU SICK BASTARD!” I sobbed, furiously wiping at my lips, stumbling out of bed. “HOW COULD YOU!”
“Brinlee, darling, I-I don’t know what happened I-“ he began to whimper but was quickly shoved backwards.
“I think you should leave, Harry,” Liam said tersely, eyes cold towards his cousin. “NOW.” He scampered away without a second look, terrified of the death stare he was receiving. Liam stood there, his shoulders tense before he took a deep breath, the tension rolling off his body in a wave.
“Are you okay, baby?” he asked, turning around and striding to the bed, his frame towering over me.
“Kiss me?” I begged, my bottom lip quivering.
“Brin…” he sighed, cupping my cheek. “What’s this about? I mean, I’d love to kiss you, trust me I would, but what is this about?”
“Just make it go away,” I cried, trying to tug his face to mine.
“Make what go way, angel? What?” he whispered, his breath wafting over my face.
“The pain,” I croaked. “A-all I feel is pain, Liam. My head is pounding, m-my heart hurts, and-and I’m exhausted; I’m so tired that I can’t take it. I just want it to stop and I don’t know how to make it. Please, Liam. Kiss me.”
“Close your eyes,” he said softly, my heart rate spiking as they fluttered closed. Large, rough hands gently cradled my face and his lips fluttered over mine so lightly at first that I barely knew whether it was real or in my imagination.
“If I could feel all of this for you I would,” he murmured, his lips occasionally brushing against mine as he spoke. “I would take it away in a heartbeat, Brinlee Adams.” A tear slipped down my cheek and a shaky breath escaped my lips, my eyes opening to connect with his.
“But since I can’t,” he whispered, a hand drifting down to squeeze my hip soothingly. “I’ll kiss you with everything I have, until all of those thoughts and that hurt are pushed aside and it’s only you and me, baby. You and me…” and with that his mouth crashed onto my own.
