CHAPTER ONE

"You must be Annie"

A slender figure, stood in front of my eyes. That familiar face with that blond hair I'd have seen it many times in the magazine. My eyes widened, frowned at her sudden appearance.

"Anna" My lips uttered uncontrollably.

My hand stirred the spoon in the cup of my hot mocha. I held gaze at the woman sitting opposite me. Croaked at her behaviour as she stayed calm and poised. Did something happened to her with Jayden?

Inhaled deeply, my fist clenched nervously. "What do you want?"

"What do I want?" She smirked, folding arms as her beautiful sapphire eyes fluttered in motion. "I was Jayden's love until you came by. There's many things that I want"

"That was a past"

Her eyes turned, gazing at me with much curiosity. "I wondered what made him change of heart. He was always so mesmerized by my move on the bed. The stripping slowly of my lingerie excites him-"

My hands slammed hard on the table. The people in the cafeteria stopped for a second, turned towards the motion was before returning to what they were doing. I held my breath. My throat constricted. Eyes stared at her in fury, "I don't need to know what happened between the two of you"

She raised her eyebrow, "Is it? I thought you would be curious about it. After all you had declared so much of your love for him. Wouldn't you want to know about his past?" Anna paused, "Or do you?"

I clenched my jaws. The headache swirled, creating a heavy weight, as I barely raised my head up. This woman appeared all of the sudden, after hiding in the dark for ten years. There must be something she was up to no good.

I gulped, "Just get to the point"

She did a brief nod, "Well, first of all, I want you to give up on Jayden"

I croaked, smirked at her request. "You're kidding me"

"I'm not" Her eyes glittered in clarity. Confidence worn across her sleeve, "You'll have all the reasons to do so"

"I'm not getting you"

Anna stood up from her seat. She threw an envelope onto the table. I gazed in confusion. My eyes held up to her sight, "What is this?"

"This is just a small part of my wedding gift for you and Jayden" She leaned forward, "If there is really one"

Then, her heels paced out of the cafeteria. I stared at the envelope for moments before struggling to open it. My fingers trembled as I slowly took out one of the few photos inside. Eyes wailed in horror at the picture. It was Anna in Jayden's arms on a yacht. The photo was similar to those that were taken and published on the gossip magazine. What differs from those, the picture captured clearly of Anna's face. How many are there that are in the wrong hands?

I bit my lips, dialling a few numbers hurriedly on my mobile phone. "Fall? We need to talk"

--

Fall stared at the pictures that I handed to her, "Where do you get this from?"

"His sweet Anna" I paced back and forth, "I thought there wasn't any clear pictures showing her face. What is this then?"

Fall frowned, tapping her feet anxiously. "She said there-"

We paused, exchanging glance. Her eyes widened in horror, "She kept those pictures that were showing her face. And... sent those not to the paparazzi"

I gulped, "And she just came threatening me that this is just going to be a small part of my wedding gift if I marry Jayden again."

She fell into silence, unable to react. It was horrifying to know what a woman has been doing behind the scene for at least ten years. And who knows why she didn't sell those that have showed her face clearly. She could have got it easier with Jayden that way.

"We..." Fall inhaled deeply, "-need to tell Jayden"

"No!" I frowned, "He loved Anna. We don't know how he will react if he know about this."

"Then what should we do?" Fall shook her head.

I inhaled deeply. Calm down, Annie. You need to think of something. Pacing in the office of Fall's, I searched deep in my thoughts, "How about... we find out more of what was her intention to reveal these photos"

Fall nodded, "Okay... I will arrange. But what about the wedding? Jayden has already arranged for the wedding to happen in a week's time."

"I can't marry him if I don't know what we are walking into"

Fall looked at the photos again, "What if we can't get this resolved within a week?"

"We have to" I eyed at her in despair, "Otherwise... I can't marry him."
