DEALING WITH SOLEVAN

CHAPTER SIX
Fall stepped in hurriedly and settled on the seat opposite mine. She gestured for the waiter to come over and made her order.
I held out the name card to her, "Jayden is asking me to move my stuff back in one week's time"
She took a closer look at the name card and did a brief nod, "Yeah, He just completed the transaction of making the re-purchase for the house that you and Jayden stayed in. He was willing to close the deal at five million above market value from the owner."
I widened my eyes, "Five million?"
Fall raised her eyebrows in notch, "Market value is three. So technically he bought it at eight million, not five"
"That's not what I am asking in exact." I shook my head, "And about this afternoon of Anna's visit, she actually requested to be our wedding planner."
"Wedding Planner?" Fall paused before taking a slight nod, "That's so Anna..."
"Are you serious? Anna requested to be our wedding planner and it is normal?"
"Well-" Fall nodded, "They started off in an abnormal way."
I folded my arms, "I'd love to understand how abnormal this wedding planner that I'm going to deal with."
Fall let out a sigh, "It started off with Jayden entering the night business industry- "then her phone vibration interrupted us.
"Hold on" As her eyes read through what was presumably might be some email, she gasped in horror.
"What happened?"
Fall returned her glance back on mine, "The reporters found out Jayden making the re-purchase of the house. Now they're swimming in like anchovies for more juicy details"
"Does this mean..."
She did a brief nod, "You're put back in the spotlight, again"
I felt the vibration. My hunch would have tell me it would be a call relating to my 'reconciled' relationship with Jayden. I took out my phone from the tote bag lying beside me, "Jayden?"
His voice with worries, "Where are you?"
I held the phone, observing my surrounding. "A... cafeteria nearby my house."
"Stay put there" Jayden added, "I will get over soon"
"But- "Then the call ended. I frowned at the phone for a moment before turning back, looking at Fall.
Fall was busy typing off on her phone, "Jayden is on his way?"
I did a nod as I leaned back against the chair while I stirred aimlessly at the cup of mocha sitting in front of me. There were a few customers started to throw their glance on us. I started tapping at Fall, "You think it's safe for me to be here? People are starting to look..."
Fall let out a sigh before walking to the counter. My eyes shifted back and forth at the customers in the cafeteria and also on the lookout if there were any reporters seen outside.
After a brief moment, Fall returned back to the seat. "We need to wait here until Jayden's car arrived. The reporters might be hanging at your house outside. If we go out now, it might attract unnecessary attention"
"Okay" I clenched my fist tightly. My phone sounded again. This time it was Mom who called.
"Annie? Are you okay? There are reporters hanging outside our house."
I bit my lips, "Mom, just keep mum about everything that is related to Jayden. I don't think it's possible for me to go back home tonight. I will call you again."
Fall held on my arm, "Jayden's car is outside now." I followed her eyes and noticed that white Mercedez parked along the roadside. I lowered my head and walked out of the cafeteria. Fall led me as she gestured the direction where the car is. Just then, some reporters appeared as they started pumping string of questions.
"Jayden was seen making a re-purchase of the previous house you two have stayed in. Does this mean you two are getting back together?"
A flash from the camera snapped. I shut my eyes, avoiding the sudden light that was causing me discomfort. Fall was still holding me while we trying to past through them.
Another one started shouting, "Are you considering about re-marrying Jayden?!"
I eyed at the White Mercedez that were few steps away. The car door swung open. Jayden stepped out as it brought the reporters attention that were cornering me. A few bodyguards blocked them off from Jayden as he walked towards me. He felt like the charming knight bathing in sparkles and spotlight. His hand stretched out, "Follow me" Without any hesitation, I laid my palm on his as my eyes still dazzled upon his charisma.
"Jayden, are you getting back with your ex-wife? Will you be re-marrying her again?" One of them exclaimed as they witnessed Jayden coming to my rescue.
He held my hand and walked to the car. Jayden remained silent about the questions that the reporters were throwing at him. As the car door was closed on us. The bodyguards pushed the reporters away so that the car could steer off and drive away.
Jayden took a quick glance at Fall who was sitting in front before turning to look at me. "I didn't know you and Fall had become best friends, even catching up during dinner time"
I looked out of the window as the car sped off in the highway. "Where am I going to put up tonight?"
He chuckled, "You will just move back earlier than I expected"
I turned around, noticed his grin. My eyebrows raised a notch, "My items are still at home. And if I move now, how are you going to answer the media? They will take it as a 'Yes' that you're marrying me again."
"Well" Those beautiful eyes stared into mine. His lips curved into a slight grin, "Isn't that what I intended to do?"
