Being able to smell the blood had me feeling hunger like I had never felt before. Blood bags were completely different to the smell of fresh blood, the blood that was still running through the veins of my unsuspecting victim.

I took off running further into the woods with no hesitation, knowing the people were nearby. It was the first time I'd ran since being turned and it made my head spin with how fast I was able to go but I couldn't deny it felt exhilarating.

Coming to a stop, I peeked out from behind a tree and saw a group of five sitting around with bottles of alcohol as they laughed and joked around with one another. I could also see that one of them had cut their arm as they'd wrapped a bandage around it. The blood had seeped through the material, however, and I inhaled deeply. I didn't need a mirror to know my fangs were out and the veins around my eyes had appeared. I knew I probably looked like a monster but in that moment, I couldn't care less.

"Don't think." Shadow suddenly appeared behind me, lowering his voice a little. "Don't think, just act."

My throat was burning even more now that I was so much closer to the source of the blood so I nodded. I understood why vampires had to feed so much now because being so close to humans was too much. I couldn't deny I needed to feed, after all.

I started walking over, catching their attention instantly. The fact they were all male had me smirking because it made it so much easier.

"Hey, pretty lady!" One of them spoke, their words slurred slightly. It was the one that had hurt himself, I noticed, as I cast my eyes over him. He was a good looking guy, I had to admit, with blonde hair that fell into his eyes and a body models strive for. Judging by how tight the shirt he had on was, he knew it too. "Wanna join us?!"

"Yeah, we don't bite!" A brown haired guy laughed.

No but I definitely will, I thought to myself, smiling at them all.

"I'd love to." I answered. "But I need your help."

"Anything for a pretty lady!"

"I'm really thirsty." I told them, fighting the urge to grin as they all reached for a can of beer to hand to me. "Do you have any water?"

I asked that purely because I couldn't see any anywhere and I knew that to get one of them alone, I'd have to take one of them into the tent. Shadow had already explained I couldn'tjust attack one of them in front of the others because they'd all run. Despite how thrilling that sounded to chase them, I knew that my first time doing this had to go without a hitch.

"There's some in the tent, I think," The blonde haired guy stumbled to his feet, grinning at me. "Do you want to come with?"

I nodded, jumping up and following after him, ignoring the whistles and cat calls that erupted from his friends.

The second we were inside the tent, he abandoned the search for the water and pulled me onto him so that I was straddling his waist. He started leaning in to kiss me so I took advantage of the fact his eyes were closed and dodged his lips. Sorry, I thought to myself, but I'm not a cheat.

Placing my lips to his neck, I didn't even think about what I did next, so taken over by the blood lust that I truly couldn't think of anything else.

Sinking my fangs into his neck, I drank from him greedily, placing a hand over his mouth to prevent him from screaming out. Not that he did; I assume he was too drunk to even notice what I was doing. I was glad that he wasn't struggling though because it would make it harder and more annoying to control the situation.

I drank and drank and drank, greedily draining his body of the blood he needed to survive but I couldn't bring myself to care. I was aware of how bad that made me sound but truthfully, Shadow had been right. I couldn't fight this anymore; the more I fought, the harder it would be to adjust properly.
