Morgan's POV

I take a deep breath as I open my front door and instantly the smell of alcohol reached my nose.

I try my best to ignore the scent as I go to my room to grab my soccer stuff. And right when I thought I was in the clear I hear my mom slur my name.

"Where the hell do you think you're going?" My mom asks as she holds a bottle of vodka in her hand. She was absolutely disgusting it was embarrassing to know that she was my mom.

"Soccer." I say as I avoid eye contact with her.

"Pathetic sport, you're wasting your damn time. Close the door and go to your god damn room." My mom says but I ignore her knowing she doesn't even care about my well being.

I walk out the door and walk all the way to the soccer field where my college team met for practice which was about two miles away so I always left home early.

When I got there, I saw some of my teammates putting their boots on, so, I met up with my teammate and one of my best friends, Julie Johnston or what everyone else calls her, JJ.

"Hey, Morgan." JJ says with a smile as she laces up her boot. "We have a new coach this season."

"I know, I hope she's good." I say with a sigh as I set my stuff down.

"She is! She just retired from the USWNT." JJ exclaims as she finishes lacing her boots. I just let out another sigh when we all see a car pull up into the parking lot.

A girl comes out and pulls out a bag of soccer balls from her trunk and she begins to walk towards us. We were all anxious to see who she was.

From a distance she looked quite young, I almost thought that she was one of our players.

Then as she got closer I began to study her features. She was short with long light brown hair and freckles covering her entire face. She was beautiful.

My heart pounded as she got closer to us and finally dropping the bag of soccer balls at her feet.

"Hello everyone! I am Kelley O'Hara and I will be your coach for this season and possibly more." She says with a smile that was so beautiful to stare at. You almost couldn't help but smile back.

I watched her lips as she spoke and they looked soft and I began to wonder what they felt like. I continued to study her beautiful features before JJ nudged me.

"Say your name." She whispers. I regained my thought as I looked back at our coach who stared directly into my eyes and I found myself getting lost in them.

"I'm Morgan Brian, midfielder." I say without looking at anyone.

"It's nice to meet you Morgan." Coach O'Hara says. Our eyes linger for a moment before I finally had the courage to look away.

Coach O'Hara started practice and things went rather smoothly. We learned some new things from her, we learned tricks that we were never taught.

She was good.

Coach O'Hara was really good.

As we practiced a few drills I looked over and already saw Coach O'Hara staring at me. I looked away and I could feel my face turning red, but why? I wasn't nervous was I?

I looked out of the corner of my eye and I could still see my coach watching me. I shook it off as I continued doing my drills.

After practice, Coach O'Hara gathered us around. How well we responded with her was quite shocking considering that we've had a bunch of crappy coaches in the past. But she was different.

Very different.

"Good job today ladies, I'll see you all tomorrow! It was nice meeting you all!" She says with a smile. She looked directly at me and like before, our eyes lingered before she looked away towards the rest of the team.

Finally she released us and as I went over to reach for my bag I heard someone call my name.

"Morgan, right?" Coach O'Hara says as she lightly brushed her hand against mine.

"Right." I say with a small smile as I took in her beauty.

"You did good today. I'm impressed." She says with a smile as she swings her own duffle over her shoulder.

"Thanks." I say as I shrug my shoulders.

"I'll see you tomorrow right?" Coach O'Hara asks me.

"Yeah."

"Good." She says as she smiles at me and walks away.
