Simons POV
"Where are we going out to eat tonight?" Angelo asks walking down the stairs.
Adele and I always pick a different restaurant to take the kids out for Christmas Eve, a little family tradition.
"Why do you bother asking every year, you know Dad's not goning to tell you. It's always a surprise." Ashlyn says taking a spoonful of cereal.
"Yeah, and don't go bugging your mother about it either. You will see tonight." I say.
Angelo climbs up on the stool next to Ashlyn and sits down, "Awww," he sadly whines.
Just then Adele and Anika walk down the stairs, looking all glamorous, nicer than usual.
I look over Adele and start walking towards her smirking.
I take her hand and spin her, "You look so gorgeous, babe." I say finding myself once again looking over her body.
"Eh um," Anika clears her throat.
I jump back, "Oh my goodness. Look at you, I'm so sorry, my darling. I didn't see you there, you're just too beautiful I couldn't handle to look at you." She giggles. "Where are you two going?"
"Oh you know," Anika says, "just doing some girly girl stuff that's 'just so beautiful you couldn't handle to understand'," she says mocking me.
I pick her up tickling her and throw her onto the couch.
Her laughter fills the room, "Daddy, daddy stop," she manages to spit out through her laughter, "dad, Mum worked hard on my hair and makeup and you're ruining it." She angrily says.
I stop ticking her, she quickly gets up and runs back to the kitchen.
She runs over to Ashlyn and takes her hand, "Come on, mum and I are goning to fancy you up and give you a makeover."
"No! No! No," she yells, "You know how much I hate dressing up and wearing makeup! Ewwww no!"
"Too bad," Adele says picking up Ashlyn's bowl of cereal and starts eating it.
"Ew! Really mum," Ashlyn whines, "I'm not eating after you, that's gross."
"Good," she shrugs, "that's not a problem at all." She finishes it and puts the dish into the dishwasher.
Adele grabs Ashlyn's hand, "Now come on we have a lot to do to you."
***
I check my watch again.
The girls were supposed to meet us here thirty minutes ago.
"Daddy come on we can eat without them," Angelo whines tugging onto my shirt.
Just then the girls all walk through the door, "It's about time," I sigh kissing Adele, "Angelo and I are starving."
"Sorry," Adele says," we lost track of time and got carried away."
We all sit down at a booth, "So did you girls have fun today?" I ask.
