Adeles POV

"Girls I can't believe it's almost your birthday in a few weeks!" I excitedly sing as I pour cereal for all of us.

Laura jumps in, "What do both want to do to celebrate? Wait it doesn't matter, I'm planning your party!"

"Well, aren't you going to be in Australia then, Mum?" Anika asks me.

"Yeah." I sadly answer helping myself to another serving of cereal.

"Mummy's going to have so much fun! That's where Kangaroos live! Mummy read me a story all about them!" Angelo proudly states.

"Well, it's okay! We can have a party before your mum leaves!" Laura proclaims.

Just then I see Simon heading down the stairs.

"Happy New Years everyone!" Simon yells as he enters the kitchen and kisses each of the kids on the head.

"One for you two too." He says kissing my stomach.

"And you get a kiss too." He says to me with a smirk.

I roll my eyes and chuckle as he pecks my lips.

"Mummy? What are the babies names going to be?" Angelo asks curiously looking at my stomach.

"We don't know yet."

Ashlyn blurts starting to make her lunch for school, "I like, Angelica and Alex."

Simon and I both stare at each other. "I don't really like the name Alex, Ashlyn but Angelica is cute," Simons says smiling.

"How about Adam?" Anika adds.

"Ew that's gross," Laura laughs.

"Wow, making me feel left out and sticking to the A names." Simon laughs.

"Well, we planned that babe, don't you want to keep going with it?" I ask helping Anika with her lunch.

"I guess, but your only three months pregnant and we are already talking about names, babe we have time."

"Oh Simon that reminds me we have an appointment today."

"I have a meeting I have to be at 1:30, when's your appointment."

"12:45," I sigh, "can you come please."

"I'll try but only for you," he says kissing me, "but I got to get ready, do you want me to drop the kids off at school?"

"I got it, Simon, I have to go soon anyway," Laura says.

"Bye Donut, I'll see you later," Laura yells shutting the door, taking Ashlyn and Anika to school.

It's just me and Angelo home, Simon went off to work for a little bit.

"So Angelo, I never got your opinion on the names."

"Well Mumma, I think one of them should be Batman," Angelo says resting himself on my lap.

"Batman?" I laugh, "Oh Peanut, tell your father that. I think he'd agree with you." I look at my watch, "Oh Angelo we have to get you ready for your first day of preschool."

"But Mumma, I don't want to go. I want to stay home with you." He says moaning clinging onto me.

I pick him up and carry him up the stairs, "I don't want you to go either Peanut, but it will be fun."

I put Angelo into the car and buckle him up. "Peanut you're gonna make so many friends and have so much fun. You'll love it. You won't even notice the time will fly by so fast."

"But Mummy I still don't want to go. I already have fun at home with you." He sadly says looking into my eyes.

I kiss his head, shut the door and walk to the driver's seat.

The car ride there stays silent.

I look back in the visor mirror and see Angelo staring out the window.

"Hey, Mummy?" Angelo asks after a few more minutes, "why do bad guys always try to take over and ruin the good guys fun?"

"Well, Peanut I guess they want to be in charge and make all the rules."

He shrugs, "Well that's a waste of time, why don't they just become mums like you?"

I laugh, "I don't take over and ruin your fun, do I?"

"Well, you're making me go to school."

I pull into the school parking lot I get out and help Angelo out as well, "You will be fine Peanut, I'll be back in a few hours with Daddy to pick you up. I love you baby have a nice day." I kiss his head and hug him.

"Mumma please don't leave me, please. I want you to come with me. Please, mummy please."

It hurts to see my baby not wanting to go just yet.

I honestly wanted him home with me, it gets lonely being alone all by yourself at home.

He brings joy and laughter when I'm home with him.

My eyes fill with tears.

"Angelo it's okay, I'll be back with your father soon I promise. If you have a good day, maybe we can reward you with something." I kiss him once more and lean down and hug him again.

He slowly turns around and walks away.

Angelo looks back getting closer to the school he stops and waves.

Then he finally gets the nerves to walk inside, he disappears when a teacher walks up to him and holds his hand guiding him inside.

I quickly run back to the car before the waterfall of tears came.

See you later Peanut.
