Lay Me Down

Simons POV

Angelo runs in our room and skips towards us watching as Adele starts packing her suitcases.

"Mummy where are we going?" Angelo suspiciously asked hopping onto the bed laying next to me.

"You're not going anywhere peanut. Mummy has to get ready because I'm leaving for Australia next week." She sadly says looking up for a second.

Tears fill his eyes as he rests his head on my chest, "But aren't you gonna take me with you? You always do."

She shakes her head slowly.

"You have school now peanut. You have to stay home with daddy and the girls," I pull Adele in making her lay down next to him. She pulls Angelo in for a hug, he hugs her tighter than usual.

"But Mummy I don't want you to go!"

"I really don't want to go either Peanut but I'll see you in a couple months. It will go by faster then you think, trust me." She says as tears fill her eyes.

I realized from the look in her eyes that she was telling herself that more than Angelo.

He begins to cry in her arms. "Aw no Peanut please don't cry, you're going to make Mummy cry." She whimpers as she pulls him closer against her and begins to cry.

"I don't think your Mummy has ever hugged me that tight before Peanut. Your one lucky boy." I say with a chuckle as I join theirs snuggle.

"But I'm not lucky, my mummy is leaving." He says as his eyes fill with more tears.

I look over to see all the happiness drain out of Adele's face. I watch as more tears then I knew someone could ever produce come out of her eyes.

"Peanut I promise you it will be quick okay! You'll see Mummy before you know it. We can call and face time before bed every night, and when you just want to call Mummy you can. Just try not calling in the middle of my concert?" Adele says through a broken voice.

"You pinky promise Mummy?" Angelo asks as Adele drys his tears.

"Pinky promise." She says as she sticks out her pinky.

Satisfied, Angelo sleepily rests his head against Adele.

"I love you, Mummy." He whispers and falls asleep in her arms.

"I love you too Peanut." She whispers and kisses his head.

I kiss Adele and dry her tears.

"I sure am going to miss you, Adkins. Those few months will be the longest months of my life." I whisper wrapping my arms around her and Angelo.

"I hate to admit it but I'm going to miss you too Konecki." She says with a smile.

I love this woman so freaking much. I seriously am going to miss her.

What am I supposed to do without her?
