Adeles POV
"What, what are you talking about?" I quickly say putting a pan in the oven.
"Oh come on Adele, don't play this game with me. I knew you were pregnant ever since you came to my house."
"What? What, how did you- what?" I laugh, stopping what I'm doing and look at her, I sigh knowing I can't get out of telling her. "I found out last week, but I didn't tell Simon until that same night I came to your house. We weren't going to tell anyone just yet. We were gonna wait awhile... the kids don't even know yet. But Apparently, the doctor told me I'm a couple months in already," I confusingly say.
"Oh yeah I know, I've known for awhile I just didn't say anything. I was waiting for you to tell me. But when you never did I thought I was just seeing things. When you were at my house I definitely knew you were, I could see it." She says with a smile.
I laugh, "well, I guess I can't hide anything from you. How do you even always seen to know when someone's pregnant, mum?"
Well, for one thing, you're my daughter, I can always tell. Second I've seen the way you act when you are pregnant, I mean you have had three children. Plus, when we toasted, you chose water over wine, that's totally not you. And third, Mums just always know," she says with a wink as she dips her finger in the cookie dough, and walks away.

"Goodbye, thanks for coming!" I say shutting the front door as the last couple guests leave.
I turn to Simon, "Ugh finally some peace and qui-,"
"Muuuuuuuuumy Anika is being mean to meeeeeee," Angelo whines running towards me.
"Nevermind," I groan rolling my eyes.
Simon laughs, "attention, attention, calling all konecki's. Please report in the front room immediately," Simon yells in his deep handsome voice.
Before we knew it, all three of our kids came running up and respectfully stood in front of us with their hands saluted.
"Yes sir," they yell back.
I don't remember the last time they played this little game of theirs. Ever since they were little they played this game where Simon would pretend to be their "leader." They would obey everything he said when he was using that, deep masculine voice, or else they would get in big trouble.
"If your name starts with an A, go straight upstairs and get ready for bed. It's been a crazy day and everyone is exhausted."
"Yes sir," I yell racing to the stairs as fast as lightning.
I'm so excited for sleep to overtake my body, I haven't had a good nights rest in weeks.
And I'm definitely looking forward to sleeping in my bed, especially this time.
I'm not gonna be alone.
"Not you," Simon laughs, "I'm not quite ready for you to go to bed missy," he smirks," if you're under the age of 27 go to bed." I stand there looking at him as disappointment covers me.
"Aww, but Simonnnn," I whine, "Mummy is tired." I sigh and slouch down the stairs.
Angelo laughs, he loves when I try acting like a little kid.
