Remedy

Adeles POV

I hear a familiar voice behind me, cutting off my relaxation. I turn my body to see him.

It's him again.

It's Alex.

He stands there smiling he helps me up and then pulls me in for a hug,"Alex..I didn't know you were in Australia!!" I say excited to finally see a familiar face.

"I'm here on a business trip," he pauses,"and what brings the one and only Adele to the land down under." he says taking my hand and kissing it. Belfry I answer he looks around questioning,"Hey wheres your boyfriend?" He asks.

"Oh.. he's in America..with our kids," I say as the smile disappears from my face, remembering them and how much I wish they were here.

"Oh well.. at least I get you all to myself." He says with a with a smirk as he kisses up my hand.

He sits down by the pool and motions for me to do the same. We start opening up and catching up on each other's lives, like we used to do.

"But yeah like I said, ever sense New Years I haven't heard or seen from Christina," he signs sadly.

"Oh I sorry." I say look down not wanting to make eye contact. I know it should feel awkward talking and catching up with your old ex boyfriend, but somethings different between Alex and I. A couple days after we broke up I was over protective for at least a year or so and I wanted nothing to do with Alex. But over the years, we've become good friends. Nothing like we used to be, but at least we are friendly with each other.

"But anyways how about you? How's life been sense you years?"

"Well not a lot has happen in about two months, but I'm on tour now. Actually my first concert was last night and I have one toni-," my phone cutter me off in mid sentence, " oh I'm sorry Alex but I have to go."

"But you were just started to talk."

"I know but it's work I have to head over and start rehearsals before tonight."

"Oh okay," he groans, "I'm spent the whole time talking about myself, I'll give you more time to talk later. Tomorrow afternoon?"

"Probably not, I have you know, um things." I lie not wanting to 'go out' with him. We don't need time to catch up.

"Oh okay. Well then some other time I guess." I nod in agreement getting up, and heading to my hotel room to grab some stuff before leaving, "let me walk you to your room." He smiles. I awkwardly walk besides him letting him accompany me to my room. We make small talk while we walk, finally I reach my room, "is this your stop?" He points to my door.

I nod, "Yeah."

"Oh wow! Really, we are close mine is just down the hall on the left." He says pointing down the hall a little ways from me.

"Hm interesting. Well I'll see you later Alex," I say trying to move things along quicker. I open my door and walk inside but before I close it Alex holds it back open.

"Wait Adele about those things that you have tomorrow," he pauses, "I know you don't really have anything so I'll see you tomorrow then." He winks.

I sigh, "fine, but only because you talked the whole time and I didn't get to, you know how much I love talking. Plus I don't know anyone here, I don't have anything else better to do."

I find myself doing my now daily walking around the outside off the hotel ever morning. It always relaxes me and starts my day off with a beautiful scenery. Today's my day off so I walk slower than usual and take in sights I haven't studied before. I walk around amazed by the beautiful but suddenly realize someone walking beside me. Without looking I already knew who it was.
