Ashlyns POV

"We're home!" I yell as soon as I swing open the front door.

I expect to be greeted by a great big bear hug from Grandma Penny.

Maybe a sweet little sister hug from Anika, or usually a tackle from Angelo, who thinks he's gonna be a great football player some day.

But instead I get greeted with none of that, I stand there not hearing a response at all, it's completely silent.

I look at mum and dad as they both shrug and follow behind me walking into the kitchen.

I turn the corner from the living room into the kitchen hoping that I'd find my family happily playing there.

But I don't even see one person, not even evidence that someone has been living here for a while.

I stand there for a second and look around, I turn to Mum, "Where is-," just then I jump to the sudden screaming and people popping out from all directions.

"Welcome home Sweetcheeks," is all I can manage to hear coming from all of the voices.

I awkwardly turn my head and look at mum.

"Really? Now you got everyone calling me sweet cheeks?" I frown looking at the ground embarrassed.

It becomes really quite as nobody knows what to say or do, Just joking," I laugh looking up at a bunch of familiar faces that quickly change from frowning to smiling.

Suddenly I fall to the ground, feeling a little body collide into me. "There's that tackle I was waiting for," I groan in a little pain, but I've missed Angelo to much to care about it.

"Be careful Peanut, Ashlyn's still gonna be a little fragile as she recovers," Dad says lending me a hand.

I spot Anika in the crowd she comes running up to me and almost knocks me over as well.

"Aw, as much as I hate to admit it... I've missed you so much!" She says squeezing me a little to hard.

"Come on," Laura yells in her normally loud voice, "admit It you've missed us. All of us." She finishes with a laugh.

"Wellllll...." I try hiding my feelings but it overcomes my body, "Oh all right, I've missed you'll."

Soon enough everyone is huddled together in a group hug.

Everyone 'awing' and cherishing this moment that I'm sure not one of us will ever forget.

Anika leans over, and whispers in my ear, "So what even happened anyway?"

Clearly, it wasn't quite enough because Mum and dad both look at each other than lay their eyes on me.

Seeing my face become scared.

I didn't want everyone to hear my not so perfect life story.

People always think I have a perfect life.

I don't understand.

Just because my mum is Adele, as in the Adele, I don't get why people assume that my life is perfect.
