Simons POV

"What are you guys doing," Adele yells at our kids. 

All three of them have there heads down looking to the floor, "Well one of you has to speak up."

I bud in, "Guys you heard your mum, so answer her. Now!" I yell angrily. 

They all shake to the quick change of mood of my voice. 

I watch as they don't move a muscle, standing there speechless. "Okay, you know what all three of you go to your rooms. I don't want to talk about this right now."

"No wait dad," Anika says stepping forward, "I did this and I'm sorry."

Adele and I both look at each other and burst out laughing. 

"Anika it's okay. You don't have to take the blame for Ashlyn's mistake." Adele says still chuckling.

Anika looks confused at us, "But guys, it wasn't her fault, I'm the one that came up with it. She didn't. I don't know what I was thinking I'm so sorry." She says sadly looking down.

"Oh," Adele looks at me with a confused look on her face. 

She walks over to Anika and hugs her, "it's okay babe, I just don't understand. Why would you.. just don't ever repeat this again, you can't-"

"You know what? I think we just need to spend a day together, a family day." I quickly say seeing the guilty look on Anika's face as Adele begins to raise her voice a little.

"Mummy are you mad at us?" Angelo innocently asks looking over at Adele's red face.

"I.. i just don't understand why you guys are acting like this." She says looking over Anika and then to the giant mess in the kitchen.

"I'm really sorry Mum," Anika says again as she looks to the floor.

"Babe, I told you it's okay... I just need to figure out why your acting like this.. especially after that flour incident." Adele says, hugging Anika again.

"What Flour Incident- you know what never mind, Let's just forget about this for now. Start the day over and, well, I don't know," I pause shrugging, "all of us go to the mall?" They all start to jump around.

"Yayyyyy, we're going to the mall, we're going to the mall." They cheer.

Adeles POV

I spot Angelo and Simon next door looking at Legos. Anika, Ashlyn and I walk towards them.

"Hey, Mum! Can we go to the pet store? I really want to show you the puppy I really, really, really want for Christmas." Angelo happily says as he sees me.

"Of course Peanut," I say as I kiss his head.

"Come on Mummy!" He says gently pulling my arm trying to make me walk faster.

"Okay okay, I can only walk so fast," I say looking back at Simon motioning for him to pick up the speed.

"See Mummy! do you see her! Do you see her! She's so cute!" He says, pointing to a dog in the window, "I really want it! Please mum, please!"
