The dream

*Sonic Eternal*

  When I am asleep I remember my entire dream. So when I feel asleep I would remember it even though I didn't want to.

  When my dream started it was pretty good. It was a bright sunny day and not a cloud in the sky. I was happy. Even more so when I realized that I was in a new house and I had a wedding wring on my finger. It had a red diamond with a silver being the base color and bats engraved into it. I went inside my house and my who I assume is my wife come up and kisses me. I am excited to see it's Mary.

  "So honey are you ready for your surprise day of fun?" Mary asks me in a cute and generous tone.

  "Depends on what the occasion is for?" This may be a dream but I don't know what is really going on.

  "It's your birthday silly." Mary laughs in amusement while going over to the kitchen.

  I walk over to her and hug her from behind.

  "If it's my birthday then why don't I get a gift first?"

  "Nope you get that last batty." She smirks and kisses my chin.

  "Batty huh?"

  "Yup Batty."

  "What should I call you then?"

  "How about......bloody red?" She suggested making me a bit confused.

  "And why would I call you that?"

  "Isn't that a common nickname for a girlfriend that's a vampire?" She asks me.

  I step back a bit and she looks at me confused. Her fangs showing full well that I must have turned her into a vampire.

  "Mary did I do this to you?"

  "It was the only way we could get married so I didn't mind. Not one bit."

  She smiles and hugs me. I feel a tear fall down. I use my speed to get rid of it before Mary notices. Good thing I'm the fastest vampire alive. I hug her back but I still feel sorry that I did this to her.

  "Mary did you really want to be a vampire?"

  "We can talk about that later. Right now you have to take a shower get dressed and then we can leave." She is really perky.

  "All right." I kiss her and go upstairs and I take a shower.

  I get dressed and go downstairs and Mary isn't anywhere to be found. I start to walk around. I try calling her name but she doesn't respond. I get worried. I then use my speed to check every inch of the house. There was one thing that was out of place. A door. I open it and I hear something.

  "Please! Don't do this!" A man yells in terror.

  "Don't worry this won't hurt a bit." I hear Mary say.

  I go down and right when I do I see Mary sucking the blood out of a man. She is doing so ferociously. She doesn't let go of him until he is dead. I look at her in horror.

  "Mary?" I ask her while she eats the blood off of her hands and mouth.

  She turns around slowly and looks sad when she sees me.

  "Sonic..."

  I look down and I see more than just one body. I see a dozen. I also see countless skeletons.

  "Mary what the hell is going on here?"

  "Sonic you idiot." She says maniacally. "Don't you know that when a mortal is changed into a vampire they cannot control their thirst for blood?" She looks up at me with an evil look in her eyes.

  "This isn't like you Mary."

  "Oh it is now." She starts to walk towards me. "And it's all thanks to you Sonic!" She comes at me with her claws.

  I duck. She then uses her speed to try and kill me but I use my own to keep myself alive. We fight for three actual human hours. Then we stop using our speed. Mary looks at me with tears in her eyes.

  "I hate you Sonic!" She screams at me and then she dashes out of my life.

  I sit there in her cold and dark place where she killed in order to sustain her blood lust. I start to think where it all went wrong. Only answer I have. I never dumped her instead I made her a vampire and put a curse on her.

  I use my speed to go to my dad's house. He looks worried when he sees that I'm sad.

  "Sonic what is the matter?"

  "Mary couldn't control her thirst for blood and has killed countless men and women in order to keep herself in check. Worst part is that it's my fault. I'm the one who did this to her."

  "Sonic..." My dad starts before he clears his throat. "This is no dream. This is a possibility of your and Mary's future. If you don't want this to happen ignore the rules and don't turn her into a vampire if you two get married."

  I nod. I know that what my father says is the truth. So I swore right then and there that I'd never let anyone turn Mary into a monster. Ever and in order for them to try they have to go through me.

  "My son. It's about time you woke up."

  "Thank you for telling me this dad. Goodbye."

  "Goodbye my son."

  I slowly started to wake up. That's when the nightmare finally was over. Once and for all.
