If I Just Lay Here. // Destiel

Preparations

Castiel's PoV.
Castiel nods his head at passer-bys in the corridor, Castiel is popular, everyone in the school knows and loves him and his sister Anna, he sees her approach and rolls his eyes.  "Castiel," she shouts, with a tone Castiel knew well,
"Anna, you're angry," as he says it, he stops at his locker and opens it, emptying the rest of books into his bag, "how may I help you?"
She looks at him, "y'know that party that Gabe is doing tonight? Yeah, well, he's invited Dean. Dean."
"Guy you used to date, Dean?"
"Yes. We haven't spoken since the breakup." Castiel frowns at her, as he walks into a nearby classroom. "Sir." He looks at the middle-aged man sitting at the desk at the front of the room, "I just wanted to let you know that Gabe said 'hi,'" the teacher looks at him with a frown,
"Thanks, I guess," he speaks in a gruff voice, and shows little emotion, "if that's all, you can go." Castiel frowns, suddenly shocked at the at the attitude of the teacher, who was normally so nice. "Sorry if I wasted your time," Castiel glares at him as he grunts back, "Jeez, Gabe said he was nice, not a completely rude asshole." The teacher stands up.
"What did you call me."
"Oh, nothing. Say 'hi' to your ex-wife from me." Castiel smirks, and swiftly closes the door, as Anna laughs at him.
As if nothing happened he carried on the previous conversation.
"I'm sure. This is more awkward for Dean." He starts to walk toward the auditorium, and slings his bag in the closest garbage can, as he wouldn't be needing his books anymore.
"How'd you figure that out?" Anna asks him.
"You cheated on him," Anna nods as if she'd forgotten. "You hurt him. I'm surprised he's even agreed to come."
She looks at Castiel and frowns. They reach the auditorium and sit together. 'Novak' is fairly near the middle of the register, so they start waiting. Anna's name is called first, then Castiel's next. He looks out at the sea of parents and family, he sees his dad and Gabe sat at the front and he waved at them. They wave back.

A lot of people hang around after, to congratulate one another, but Anna and Castiel leave straight away, a majority of their school and a couple from Beckett received invites to the party, his friend Ellen had managed grab unreal amounts of alcohol, much to the appreciation of his guests. They head straight home to help Gabe set everything up. They head home together, deep in conversation the whole time. "Castiel, is Dean's brother invited."
"I asked him, but he's only 14," Anna nods, almost disappointed.

"You two took you time," says Gabriel jokingly, "don't worry, I finished off while you were at school. I didn't do much, people won't really notice when they're puking everywhere." Castiel grimaces, and shivers.
"Okay, I'm gonna go get changed." Him and Anna both go back upstairs. Castiel's family take up most of the room in the large hall alone, not long after Anna comes downstairs on an off-the-shoulder shirt and miniskirt the doorbell rings, and Gabriel opens it to see Ellen and her daughter standing with crates full of alcohol. Castiel grins. "This. Is going to be fun."
