Toothless

As I saw the teens leave, I saw the tied up girl. She looked hurt, and I think it's wrong to treat someone like that without any reason.

As she saw me, she was stunned. I guess that she didn't see a Night Fury before. I looked into her eyes.

"I can help you get out of here if you like. There will be no trouble for you here. We can be friends."

The girl with blue eyes were amazed of my actions.

As we exchange glances, I knew she was different than the other villagers, and is special in her own way.

I walked towards the girl and I used one of my claws to cut the ropes that bind her. She was about to fall but I immediately caught her on my back.

She got off of me as we look each other's eyes.

Astrid

I couldn't believe out of the dragons I would ever encounter was a Night Fury! He used one of his claws to free me.

As we exchange glances at one other, I begin to feel like I can trust him with my life.

I reached out my hand to touch the dragon's snout.

As he was about to come closer, a villager spots us!

"Night Fury!" The villager yelled through the village.

The Night Fury knew that he had one chance to escape.

He scooped me up into his back and I said, "Whoa, wait! What are you doing?"

The Night Fury looked at me as if was trying to say, "I'm taking you out of here. Trust me."

I looked at the village of Berk. He's right. I don't belong here.

"Let's go." I said.

The Night Fury and I flew just in time as the catapults were going to aim at us.

As we land in the small isle, I jumped off the Night Fury's back.

"Now we are all alone... let's try this again." I said.

I reached out my hand and then waited for the Night Fury to trust me.

It felt like hours but then I felt a scaly snout touching my hand.

I knew in that moment, I have gained its trust. I have trained one of the deadliest dragons that no one has ever seen: A Night Fury.

"Now you need a name. I can't call you dragon all the time, can't I?"

The Night Fury gave me a gummy smile.

"Huh, Toothless. I could've sworn that Night Furies have-"

It shows its teeth and I finished my sentence. "Teeth."

That's when the name hit.

"Toothless. I like it. That's what I call you."

Toothless nudged me on the cheek, trying to cheer me up.

"Well, Toothless, it seems like we have work to do." I said, looking around the island.

Stoick

As I hear the villager yelled, "Night Fury" Hiccup and others were in awe.

"A Night Fury! That's incredible!" Hiccup exclaimed.

Fishlegs sighed, "I wished I met a Night Fury!"

"Who want to meet a Night Fury anyway? They are dangerous, you know that!" I said.

Valka reassures me, "Stoick, you must calm yourself. You been trying to find the Dragon's Den for months!"

She has a point. We've been trying to find the Dragon's Den for months and it still has no progress of the location where those beasts lived in.

As I was about to speak, the Hoffersons came bursting into the household, which gave Hiccup and the other teenagers a startle.

"Finn, Ingrid, what seems to be the matter?" I asked the couple.

Finn asks, "Have anyone seen Astrid? We haven't seen her since one of the villagers yelled there was a wild Night Fury on the loose."

I looked at my son for answers. Hiccup said, "We seen her a while ago. Wait, she's not at your house?"

The Hoffersons were silent at Hiccup's question.

"I need to go." Hiccup said as he dashes out the front door.

"Hiccup!" Valka yells as we watched our son run in such of hurry.

Hiccup

I run towards the spot where we last seen Astrid. I run as fast I possible can only to find the ropes that bind her was cut off.

"Astrid..." I said in a soft tone.

That's when I knew the unfortunate truth. Astrid was killed by the Night Fury.

I couldn't stand my anger of how I couldn't be more stupid. I raised my axe and swing it to the pole.

I'm sad that she is gone and there is nothing I can do about it.

"Astrid, I'm so sorry." I say to myself.

I knew that things would be very different now.

The funeral of Astrid wasn't pretty. The Hoffersons lit the Viking boat and I cried as my mother holds me tight.

"Sh... Hiccup. It's going to be all right." She told me while stroking my hair.

I looked up to her, "How?!? How you could be so sure about this?"

"Everyone has their own way, my son. You will never judge a book by its cover."

I didn't understand her meaning, but the woman smiles at my curiosity.

"You'll understand it, one day." She reassures me as we watched the burning sail.
