Toothless

I was in the Cove, drinking water from the river and I hear two voices entering the Cove.

"Now, Hic, you have to be very brave for Dragon lesson 101."

"Come on, Astrid, I barely escape with a Deadly Nadder in class today!" He replied.

I stood up and then Astrid came towards me.

"Hey, bud. How you feeling?"  She asks me.

"I'm fine, but why you and Hiccup are here in the Cove? Shouldn't you try to get information about the Red Death?"  I replied, being so curious about it.

"Well, Haddock here wants to ride you, Toothless."  She explains.

"Well, this is going to be interesting. Let's see what he can do, shall we?"  I said.

Hiccup asks, "So, what did he say?"

"He says that it's going to be interesting of how you will ride him. Personally, I agree. Toothless never let anyone ride him except for me." Astrid explains.

Hiccup took a deep breath as he approaches me.

Hiccup

I took a breath as I approach the Night Fury.

No one in Berk ever dared to ride a Dragon, and I'm the first Viking who would do that.

I see much of how Astrid put in for the saddle and the tailfin.

The fabric looks amazing with the skin of the black Night Fury and there is some technical stuff attach to the saddle.

"Ok, first you put your foot in the saddle." Astrid explains, "It controls the tail."

"Nice touch." I said.

"Thanks, and here's a cheat-cheat sheet if you're confused." Astrid adds, "And Toothless, please be careful."

The Night Fury gave her a reassuring hug as I climbed into the saddle and flew up into the sky.

We were so high up.

"Ok, bud, let's take it nice and slow." I flipped the switch on the tailfin and it changes directions, like it was supposed to do.

I accidently made Toothless hit a rock.

"Sorry, that was totally my fault." I said.

Then we hit another rock.

"Again, sorry, bud."

The Night Fury smacks me, trying to tell me to use the switch again.

"Ok, you're right. Here we go." I said, but then the wind blew off the sheet that Astrid gave me!

"Oh, no! Toothless!" I yelled as the harness of the saddle got off and we were falling.

"Toothless, come towards me!" I instructed the Night Fury.

He did as I reattached the saddle and held the sheet in my mouth.

We were heading towards a hill of rock formations and I knew that I had one shot of this.

I didn't use the sheet as my foot already knows which direction the tail should go.

Toothless acknowledge my decision as we handled the situation as one!

As we made it through, I felt happy! Is this what it felt like for Astrid, doing this for three years?

As we landed, Astrid asks, "So, how did it go with you two?"

Toothless and I exchanged looks, "Like you said, it was quite interesting."

Astrid

Hiccup and I went back to his house and the Haddocks were generous enough to let me sleep in the guest room, which is not that far to Hiccup's room.

"So, Valkyrie, do you live by yourself?" Stoick asks me.

"Yeah, I have an island of my own, and I shipwrecked here." I lied to the Chief of Berk.

"Well, Hiccup, you were very lucky to meet this young lady. You should think about being Chief." Stoick said to him.

I was shocked. Hiccup is already started training to becoming Chief?

I looked at him, "Why you didn't tell me about that?"

"You didn't ask and personally, I don't know if I'm ready to be Chief yet. There is so much I need to know and it will take time." He explains.

"Well, whatever's the case, my dear, you will love Berk." Valka reassures me.

But Hic and I knew the horrible truth: It's not going to be great since the Red Death is still on the loose and causing raids making innocent Dragons to do her bidding.

Hiccup fakes a yawn, "I'm going to bed now, it's late and I don't want to miss Dragon Training."

"Yes, good talk, son." Stoick said.

"Goodnight, Mr. and Mrs. Haddock." I said, politely.

We went to his room and he closes the door.

"Man, that was intense." He said.

I still hold the Book of Dragons.

"Did you find any info about the Red Death?" Hic asks.

"Nothing yet. I'm still trying the chapter of it. There is a lot of Dragons that Berk encountered that I never heard of!" I replied to him.

"I'm sure you'll find it, and when you do, we'll defeat her together!" He said, confident.

I laughed, "Oh, you really are something, Haddock."

"Gee, thanks." He said, sarcastically.
