Chapter 8: Come with me!

Hiccup

Ever since I found out that Astrid was Valkyrie, I wanted to learn more about her.

"Astrid, do you ever felt lonely here in this isle only with Toothless?" I asked the Rider curiously.

"Well, to be totally honest, no. Toothless always keep me company, and I always make inventions in my spare time." She replies.

That's when I remembered about the sketch I pulled from the blacksmith shop. I pulled it out from my pocket and showed it to the Rider.

"Um, when I was in the Blacksmith shop, I kind of discovered your workspace." I explained, in embarrassment.

She took the drawing and then smiles, "You found a piece of my blueprint of Inferno! I guess that I must of left in the workspace and never get it out there. Thank you."

That's when an idea struck me!

"Astrid, come with me!" I said.

She was confused of my excitement.

"To where?" She asks.

"Home, to Berk!" I explained.

Astrid 

When Hiccup suggested that idea, I thought he was insane.

"Uh, Hic, are you sure that's a good idea?" I ask nervously.

Hiccup touches my cheek, "Astrid, you don't have to worry. We'll keep your secret safe and um, I kind of missed you being at Berk."

Toothless said, "Astrid, he does have a point there."

"Toothless! You can't be serious and siding with him! It's dangerous and what if someone sees you?"

"You worried about Toothless? He'll be hiding in the Cove, where it's safe. And I'll be there to make sure no one will find out about him." Hiccup reassures me.

Toothless said, "Think of this as a new adventure, just the three of us, and we might have a lead."

More I think about it, Hiccup might be a genius! This could be a way to find the Red Death's island!

"Ok, but in one condition." I said, seriously.

"What is it, Astrid?"

"No one will find out about any of this, and call me " Valkyrie."  

Snoutlout

Where is Hiccup?!? It's not like him to disappear for one day.

As I got nervous, Fishlegs asks, "Snoutlout, don't tell me you are worried about the Heir of Berk, are you?"

I waved my hand, "Don't be ridiculous. I'm not worried."

Ruffnut laughs, "Admit it, you're worried."

As I was about to reply, a voice said, "So, Snoutlout, you were concerned about me?"

Fishlegs, Tuffnut and Ruffnut turned over and there he was, with a girl!

"Hiccup Haddock, where had you been?!? Stoick and Valka were worried about you!" I said in a serious tone.

The girl said, "Sorry, it was partly my fault." The girl wore blue shirt and her hair was in a braid.

"Guys, I want to introduce you to my friend, Valkyrie. Valkyrie, this is my friends."

Valkyrie said, "I-I'm honored to meet you all."

"Come on, let's head to my house so you could meet my parents." Hiccup suggested.

Valkyrie nods with his idea, as if meeting us was a little bit uneasy for her.

Hiccup acts like his normal self, but how? And who is Valkyrie?  

Hiccup

Whew, that was really uncomfortable for either of us.

When we arrived back on Berk, the first thing Astrid and I did was hide Toothless.

Astrid told me that Toothless would be fine as long he stays hidden.

We enter the front door as Dad was in so shocked I was back.

"Hiccup! Where you been? Your mom went in search for you!"

I rubbed my head nervously. "Uh, yeah... about that..."

Valkyrie spoke up, "It was my fault. I didn't mean to get Hiccup into trouble like this."

Dad looked at her suspious.  "And who you might you be?"

I said, "Dad, she's a friend I had met in the woods. This is Valkyrie, and she has no place to stay."

I hope that he brought the lie, even though Astrid does lived here.

The Chief scratched his chin and then said, "Well, Hiccup, just promise me you wouldn't disappear again. I'll send a message to your mother that you arrived home safety."

I nodded, "That's a good idea, Dad. I really hope that she wouldn't be that irate at me."

We went to my room and Astrid sigh in relief.

"That was very awkward to speak to the Chief like that, and seeing the others is overwhelming to say the least." She said.

I said, "It's a good thing that everyone didn't realize that Valkyrie is you, Astrid. So, what shall we do to find out more about the Red Death?"

Astrid replied, "Honestly, Hic, I really don't have the slightest idea."

Great! This is going to be harder than I thought.
