New Friends

Emily: We sat at the sirport for about a half an hour and then they started to board people. Joey and I got in our seats. Joey sat next to the window. Pretty soon we were joined by Rachel and Brendon. Rachel sat next to me. This was extreamly awkward.

Rachel: Hey, Emily right?

Emily: Yes it is. Your Rachel?

Rachel: Yes! Now Brendon and I were wondering if you want to make an alliance. You know be partners throughout this whole journey. 

Emily: Really?

Rachel: Ya, you two seem very strong and ready to race. Plus you are a cute couple and we love your Youtube channels.

Emily: Well thank you! We will surely think about it. This is just so crazy that I need some time to soak it all in.

Rachel: Well let me know by the end of the flight.

Emily: Will do.

We take off. I just sat there silently trying to understand are next move. Rachel and Brendon feel asleep. Joey nudges me on the shoulder. I turn to him.

Joey: So what did Rachel want?

Emily: She wants to team.

Joey: What did you say?

Emily: I wiould let her know by the end of the flight.

Joey: Well, what are you thinking?

Emily: I don't know. You have to remember these people are kind of snakes. They did this and Big Brother twice! they have a goo social game. They do often tick people off. That could make a big target on us. 

Joey: They are also strong players and could help us. You don't want to make them enemies either.

Emily: We could say yes and suggest we keep it a secret. So people don't target us both. They do have big mouths. 

Joey: So true. So we will do it?

Emily: I guess so.

Joey: Sounds like a good plan!

Emily: Yep!

Joey: Listen we should rest well we can.

Emily: Your right!

I dirfted off asleep in Joey's arms. This was going to be a fun journey.

Joeys POV:

We wake up. We are right about to land. I heard Emily and Rachel talking.

Rachel: So have you thought about our offer?

Emily: Yes we would love to join you two! We should keep it a secret. That way they won't target both of us and we can help one another. 

Rachel: Great plan! You seem so smart.

Emily: One can try.

Flight Attendent: We will be landing in three minutes.

Brendon: So what are we doing first?

Joey: Well all the other teams are two hour behind us. We just have to find the first challenge.

We land and run out. We get in a taxi and read the enevlope. We are heading to the library. We can either do "Read the Way Out" or "Ticking Time". 

Joey: Well, first which one of us is going to do it?

Emily: Well I am pretty good with books.

Joey: alright we will have you do it. Which one do you want to do?

Emily: Well "Read the Way Out" seems more for me. I think you try to find clues in readings.

Joey:"Ticking Time" scares me.

Emily: Ya, lets stay away from that one. 

Joey: Alright!

We get to the Library and we run in. Emily is taken into a room. Lets pray she has got this.

Emilys POV:

Host: Alirght Emily the goal is you are goin to be locked in this room full of books. All these books have the next clue and the way out of this room. Are you ready?

Emily: I guess so.

I walk into the room they lock the door. I start grabbing books off the shelf left and right. I start to skim threw them. I found a clue in a book. It states "Look under and beyond sometimes thngs are just under your nose" I think. Under? What has a bottom? The table! I reach under the table. I find another book. This book states " Behind with strength" I start to think. Lets do this piece by piece. What could be the behond part? Maybe behind the books. I clear all the books of the shelves. I found another clue that says, "strength". This is really starting to tick my off. I punch the back of the bookshelf. I make a hole. I see something yellow. I reach in. Another clue! I quickly open it. It says, "paintings hide all" I look around the room for a painting. I see the Mona Lisa. Why would that be in Japan? I run over and take it off the wall. There is a crawl space. I quickly grab a chair and crawl threw. I see a light at the end of the space. I finally reach the end. There is Joey. He helps me out.

Joey: You did it!

Emily: I did! I can't believe it!

Host: Here is your next to your next location.

Joey grabs the clue and reads it out loud.

Joey: The painting is the answer to the painting.

Emily: The Mona Lisa! We are going to France!

Joey: Oh my god! Lets go!

We get in the taxi and get to the airport. We don't see any other teams.

Emily: I think we are in the lead.

Joey: I saw people just arriving when we left.

Emily: Thats a good sign. What about Brendon and Rachel?

Joey: Maybe they did "Ticking Time"

Emily: I hope so!

We rush to get tickets and we leave in four hours. This gives the other teams a chance to catch up this is not good. We have to be fast when we get to France. Lets hope Brendon and Rachel know what they are doing.

Brendons POV:

We decied to do "Read the Way Out" I went in it was not easy. It took me forever! For some reason there was odd paintings. There was a palm tree and a Mona Lisa. I finally get out. We read our clue. I hope Emily and Joey did alright. We think about the clue.

Rachel: what paintings were there?

Brendon: There was a palm tree! I think we are going back to L.A.!

Rachel: Oh my god! Lets go. We get in a taxi and head to the airport. We just caught a flight to L.A. It boards in five minutes. We run to the gate and just make it. We get in our seats.

Rachel: That was close!

Brendon: The one problem is I didn't see Emily or Joey. I hope they are alright.
