A Hunt

Emilys POV:

Joey: Are you sure you are ok?

Emily: Yes, I am fine. See one team down that was pretty easy.

Joey: But was it really worth getting you amazing face smacked.

Emily: Like it did anything. It barley hurt like I said no big deal.

Joey: Ready for England?

Emily: I guess so. I mean it is my turn. I am the one who has set us back so far.

Joey: But you have also pushed us further so many times.

Emily: I guess that is a little true.

Joey: You are smart and physically fit. It makes this race that much easier.

Emily: Thanks Joey.

Joey: Anytime blue eyes.

I smiled and kissed him. Ths race is really draining my sanity. It is hard to keep going. you get really tired and you just want to stop and drop on the ground. Joey's smile keeps me going. He is a ray of sunshine and he keeps me going. He gives me constant reminders of how much he loves me and needs me. I always get a nice comment form him every chance he gets. My life with out him would burn to ashes and fade away. I would be nothing without him. Like I said he is the sun in my world there would be no warmth without him. I can't wait to go home and see my friends. I also can't wait to see my family. I miss my Mom. She left after my disater that was supposed to be my wedding. You would think since I got a kiddney taken out she would stay. I chose to barry the hatchet. I can't stay mad at her. Never hold anything against anyone is what I say. Because in the end they could be the ones you need the most. I rest my head on Joey's shoulder and slowly drift asleep.

Joeys POV:

I wake up to the alarm on my watch. I shake Emily awake and we get going. We get on our flight aand the time gord by fast. We still didn't se Brendon or Rachel. I think we are still in first place. I don't know anymore at this point. I don't care I want to make it to the end. I want to make our parents proud. I don't fell like Emily's mom is very proud of her. She should be proud of Emily. She is an amazing girl and she is so smart. She destories the sterotypes for blondes. Her eyes make you melt and you miss her whenever she is gone. I love her. We finally land and we head to out location. We end up at the palace. This place is huge. We read our challenges. 

Emily: "Hunting It away" or "Royal Riches" I will do the hunting one. Wish me luck?

Joey: Good Luck!

Emily runs off. They take me to the end. Hopefully she will do this really quickly. Lets hope it is like a treasure hunt so she can use her smarts. About an hour passes and team arrives I can see them in the distance. Emily runs out. They hand us our next clue. 

Joey: "This place is great even the walls are great" Oh we are going to China!

Emily: That was fast.

Joey: I saw a lot of posters at the airports. 

Emily: True! Lets go.

We jump in the car. It was my turn to drive after all we take turns. We arrive and get our flight. They were just boarding so we ran to the gate.

Gate Man: Sir, you are supposed to be here two hours before the flight leaves not two minutes.

Emily: Listen smarty pants we are on The Amazing Race. I think you can make an allowence.

Gate Man: Fine go!

Joeily: Thank you!

We run to our seats.

Emily: Can you believe we are almost to the end?

Joey: I didn't think I could ever make it this far. I thought I would hold is back. I can't wait to see our family and friends.

Emily: Ya, I have been think about my Mom a lot latley.

Joey: We should visit when we come back.

Emily: Well, we will have a million dollars.

Joey: Lets hope!

Our flight takes off and again it was really fast. We land in China and we take bikes this time. That was different. Instead we went to a hotel we were beating the makers of the challenges. We were a day ahead of everyone so we got to go rest which was well needed. We arrive at the hotel and get our room key. We run in the room and Emily flopps on the bed and I jum in the shower. I get dress and flop on the bed. She goes and showers and comes out in her pajamas. We order room service and watch tv. We here a knock on the door. Emily runs up and answers it.

Emily: Hello?

Man: Hello I am Mr. Link. I run The Amazing Race.

They shake hands. I walk up to the door.

Emily: What can /i help you with?

Mr.Link: you are Emily Lace correct?

Emily: Yes.

Mr.Link: I information that regards your Mother.

Emily: what about her?

Mr.Link: Well she passed away from a heart attack. We are offering to pull you out of the race to make further arrangments for here. Or everthing will be put on hold for her and you can stay in the race.

My heart stopped. Tears formed in her eyes. I don't want to drop out but we have made it so far. It is her choice.

Emily: I think.......
