I woke up and felt a sharp pain in my neck. I winced as I pulled my head up, looking around me. My eyes widened once I realized that I wasn't in the hotel. Kakashi wasn't next to me. I was in a dark, damp cell, with chains around my wrists and ankles, linking me to the bedframe. I screamed, "What the fuck is this?!" I must be dreaming. I looked down at my necklace and was relieved to see that Kakashi was okay. But where was I? What happened to me? From the pain in my neck I deduced that I had been drugged and kidnapped. But Kakashi would have woken up and stopped whoever was kidnapping me. He always had his guard up, even when he was sleeping. Thinking back to last night, I suddenly remembered going to the bathroom in the middle of the night, then feeling a pain in my neck and blacking out. I should have seen it coming. This must be Lord Hachigoro's men. The Lord probably knew we weren't just stopping by the village, considering all the exquisite spies he had working for him. I shuddered, cold against the stone wall. I saw a light as the cell door opened and a man came in, shutting the door behind him. I noticed that he held his hand on the katana in his holster. I fruitlessly tried to activate my Kazegan, but I knew nothing would were. These chains were restraining my chakra as well as my body. I couldn't use any jutsu or my Kekkei Genkai, and nobody would be able to sense my chakra. This was bad. The man towering over me grinned wildly.

"I'm going to have fun with you."

*Kakashi's POV*

I yawned and turned to cuddle Katsumi, only to notice that she wasn't in bed. I opened my eyes and looked around. She wasn't in the room. I rubbed my eyes, and it was then that I noticed the letter on Katsumi's pillow. My heartrate quickened as I picked it up and read it.

She's with us.

She will be set free if you agree to give us information.

If you refuse – she dies.

You know who we are.

I started panicking. How had they gotten her? Why didn't I hear anything and wake up? Cursing mentally, I quickly pulled my clothes on and ran out of the room, banging on Jiraya and Tsunade's door. Tsunade finally opened, "Good morning to you too, Kakashi." I said nothing, showing her the letter instead. Her expression became worried, "Jiraya? They took her." Jiraya was suddenly at the door, reading the letter over Tsunade's shoulder, "Let's get going then."

We sat perched in a high, dense tree that grew in the castle's garden. "It looks like there's only three of us instead of four. Our priority is getting to Katsumi and making sure that she can fight alongside us. Kakashi, Tsunade, you will find and tend to her if she needs medical attention," I flinched at those words. I felt sick thinking of what she was going through right now. I took a quick glance and checked my necklace – her chakra was still there. "I'll hold them off, for a while. But I trust you will come help soon enough." We nodded and jumped through an open window of the castle, landing in an empty bedroom. I lifted my headband and looked around with my Sharingan. I could now see throughout the building, and there were about twenty ninja and guards on the floor we were on. I motioned this to Jiraya and Tsunade and they nodded. I guessed that Katsumi must be somewhere on the lower levels of the castle.

We headed out of the room silently, stealthily killing everyone who was on the floor. I finished off the last one, my Chidori piercing through him, and nodded one to Jiraya and Tsunade, heading down the stairs. I slayed everybody who got in my way, quietly and quickly trying to find my way to Katsumi. I couldn't sense her chakra anywhere. What if she wasn't here? They could have easily lied in the letter. But then again, where else would she be? Glancing down at my chakra stone, I saw that she was okay. I hid my necklace under my shirt. Why couldn't I see her? A guard tried to jump me, but he was too slow for my Sharingan.

It seemed as though there were a hundred floors in this castle. I was becoming impatient, sick of not being able to see Katsumi no matter how much I looked. Tsunade quickly healed my arm, which had been slashed a minute ago. I ran, frantically searching for Katsumi in all the rooms we encountered, killing anybody who was in them. Then, I started to wonder where the Lord was. He should be in the throne room, shouldn't he? From the map I had seen in the files earlier, I recollected that it was on the first floor. We made our way down numerous flights of stairs, stabbing all the guards we saw. We finally got to our destination. I quickly executed the two ninja guarding the throne room doors, motioned to Jiraya and Tsunade, and we entered.

Something was wrong. The room was huge, and completely empty. Nobody was here, no chakra was visible to me. I deactivated my Chidori and looked around. "Kakashi," Tsunade said quietly. I turned my head slightly and saw that she was secretly motioning for me to look up. I tried doing this as unnoticeable as I could. I was surprised that every nin above had hidden their chakra. About a hundred guards jumped down from the ceiling. I growled as I let my Chidori stream through the room. These ninja were good, though, a lot of them had avoided my attack. I saw Jiraya go into sage mode, already holding up two toads on his shoulders. Tsunade had realeased her seal, yelling and rupturing the floor strongly with just her finger. "Ninja Art: Body Pathway Derangement!" I heard her scream, running through a dozen of the nin. They started shaking uncontrollably and I knew she had sent an electric current through them. She made some hand signs and they all fell, motionless, onto the ground. Jiraya had put about thirty of the nin in a poweful genjutsu. I did not know how and I wasn't about to ask now. I fought through the guards that attacked me, piercing them with my Chidori, taking a kunai to the knee, furiously pulling it out and throwing it into one of the ninja's necks. I stabbed them with the katana Katsumi had given me all those years ago. Pain shot through my chest as I thought of her, probably being tortured somewhere. I was shocked when I realized that the pain wasn't in my chest – my skin was burning, right over my heart. I killed off the last of the nin attacking me and tore my shirt away from my skin a bit. In horror, I realized what was scorching me. It was the chakra stone. I looked at it intently. The usual turquoise floating substance was now a bloody red color. Was this her way of telling me she was in trouble? She knew I would be looking for her. Maybe it was her subconscious way of talking to me. Tsunade yelled, killing off ten more men. The guards Jiraya was fighting fell to the floor, dead from his genjutsu. We had eliminated everyone, for now. "Summoning jutsu," Tsunade said, slamming her hand to the floor, a huge slug appearing. "Katsuyu, heal Jiraya and Kakashi," She spoke to the slug. I was a little shocked when the slug shrunk in size a bit, a dozen small slugs coming out of it. I shivered as they crawled onto me, emitting a green glow on my arms, chest and my injured knee. "Do not worry, you will be good as new," Katsuyu said in a high-pitched voice. As we waited, I held the chakra stone in my hands. It was still glowing red, even more now than before. I knew this had to mean something. Tsunade was walking around, looking for something, since she didn't need any healing, unlike Jiraya and myself. I felt my pain ease as the slugs sat on me.

"I found something," Tsunade said, appearing in front of us. I raised my eyebrow and she continued, "It looks like an entrance to some sort of secret chamber." I nodded and stood up, thanking Katsuyu for the healing, Jiraya doing the same. "Lead the way," I persisted. Tsunade nodded, walking us to what seemed like a plain wall to the naked eye, blending in perfectly with the rest of the room. But unlike the other walls, we could all feel a chakra from within the wall. I nodded to Tsunade and she started focusing her chakra into her fist. She punched through the wall with ease and it came crumbling down. I peered inside – it was very dark, a staircase led down, I couldn't see how deep it went. I kept my Sharingan eye open as I took the lead, heading down the stairs cautiously. "Be wary of traps," I said quietly. Nothing seemed to catch the eye, though, as we proceeded downwards. We trudged along, not knowing how far down this would go.

Until I heard her scream.
