I stood by the entrance to the training grounds and took a deep breath. Today I would be meeting my possible new team of young genin, if I deemed them worthy, of course. If not, they would go back to the Academy. I was a bit torn. On one hand, I wanted to pass them and not ruin their lives. On the other, I was afraid of being in charge of three kids. I shuddered as I waited for the group.
I saw a group of three approaching me and I guessed these were my victims. (I'm harsh like that.) The group consisted of a boy and a girl, both with blonde hair and green eyes, and a black-haired boy with blue eyes. "Uh, Katsumi-sensei?" The girl squeaked. Hearing myself being referred to as a Sensei was strange. "Indeed. I will be testing you today to see if you have what it takes to be training under me. You may introduce yourselves," I spoke matter-of-factly. "I'm Michiko," The girl started, excitedly. She seemed very eager to take my test, "This is my twin brother, Satoshi," She pointed at the blonde boy. That made sense, "And this is Morishige." I looked them over and led them to the training grounds.
"Now," I turned to them as the stopped and lined up in front of me, "Your task is simple. I will make a shadow clone for each of you. You will have to defeat them. Any questions?" They stood still, looking nervous. "Alright then," I performed the shadow close jutsu and set the clones off to face the young genin. "Begin," I stated simply and jumped off into a tree, observing them from above.
I was expecting more. One of my shadow clones had the girl pinned to the ground. She screamed, "Help! Satoshi! Morishige! Please!" The one who was her brother ignored her, trying to fend off my other clone. The other one yelled, "Screw off!" I scoffed. So much for teamwork. I wanted them to work together and take down the clones one by one, but I knew that they wouldn't understand the assignment. I sighed and watched the show for my own amusement at this point.
Finally letting out a sigh, I jumped down and made my clones disappear. They panted heavily, Satoshi held his hands on his knees, the girl was still on the ground. "You fail," I said, disappointed. I really didn't want to have to do this, "You completely missed the point of the exercise. You were supposed to work together, as a team, and take out the clones one by one. I gave you enough time and I thought you would realize the true purpose of the test. Satoshi and Morishige, you completely ignored Michiko when she needed your help. Sure, rules are important, but you shouldn't sacrifice your comrades for the sake of following the rules. I'm sorry to fail you, but when you come back next time you'll know what is expected from you." I looked down at their sad faces. Suddenly, Michiko ran up to me and hugged me by the legs. I froze and contemplated what I should do. I didn't really let anybody touch me except for Kakashi. "THANK YOU KATSUMI-SENSEI FOR THIS AMAZING EXPERIENCE, I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER IT AND I WILL WORK HARD TO BE THE BEST!" Michiko screeched. I patted her head reluctantly and tried to claw her off me. "Alright, I hope to see you soon," I tried to be nice. She finally let go and ran off with her brother and friend. I stuffed my hands into my pockets and left the training grounds.
I saw Kakashi and Guy standing in the middle of the street next to my favorite dumpling shop, playing rock paper scissors. I laughed to myself. Those boys and their ultimate rivalry. I saw that, deep down, they were best friends, even if they didn't show it too much. "ROCK BEATS SCISSORS! NOOOO! I HAVE LOST TO YOU AGAIN, MY ULTIMATE RIVAL!" I heard Guy scream as I approached them. "My hero," I said to Kakashi, kissing his cheek through his mask. I could feel him smiling. "Oh, the radiant beauty of Katsumi! I am honored to be in your presence! What must I do to deserve one of your kisses?!" Guy flashed his smile at me and gave me his thumbs-up. "Hello to you too, Guy." I waved at him. Kakashi's eyes narrowed, but he turned to me, "How was your day?" I frowned, "Not too great." Before Kakashi could answer, Guy had put his arm around me, squishing me up against him, "What's troubling you, Katsumi? Tell Guy all about it!" I hated how loud and enthusiastic he could sometimes be. I mentally groaned and tried to pry myself away from him. I really didn't like other people touching me that weren't Kakashi. Today, that seemed to be happening too much. "Right now, you strangling me is troubling me," I managed to choke out. That only made him squeeze harder. "My, my, so full of youth, so radiant!" He went on and on until he finally let go. I clutched my throat, rasping, trying to catch my breath. I looked up to see that Kakashi had pinned Guy to the wall. So Guy hadn't really let go by his own will. "Don't. Touch. Her." Kakashi said menacingly. I had never seen him like this. "Kakashi, your youth has surfaced! I can see it in your eyes!" I saw that he had his Sharingan eye open. "Kashi, don't!" I screamed at him. He froze in his position for a moment, then let Guy out of his grip, pulling his headband over his left eye. "Don't touch her," He repeated to Guy, who seemed lost for words. He walked up to me, took my hand and pulled me away from the scene.
"Kashi, what the hell was that?" I questioned him as he stomped furiously to our apartment building, me trailing behind a bit. "He had his hands all over you," He growled. "It's Guy," I dragged out the name, "I don't think he would have done anything without my consent, and he crushes everybody in hugs!" He scowled. "He called you a radiant beauty and he wanted one of your kisses." We had reached his apartment at this point. He opened the door furiously and dragged me in after him, slamming me into a wall next to the door. "Kashi, I think you understand perfectly that he was joking," I said cautiously, "And you saw how I was struggling to try and get out of his embrace. You know that I hate other people touching me, except for you." His visible eye softened as he looked at me, leaning his forehead against my own. "You know, I could never live with myself if I ever lost you," He admitted. "I know, Kashi, but you know that I'd never leave you." I lifted my hands up to his mask, pulling it down slowly and softly. "I love you, Kashi, nothing could ever change that." He inched closer, "I love you, too. So much," He whispered before our lips collided. The kiss was soft and sweet, making my heart stop for a bit. He pulled away and I smirked at him, "You're so cute when you're jealous." He rolled his eye, "Shut up." I poked him and we laughed.
"You know," I started as we sat on the couch, his head in my lap, my hands stroking his hair, "If you don't want other men hitting on me, we should just tell people that we're dating." He contemplated this for a moment. I knew he wasn't the type of person that liked talking about his personal life to others. "Okay," He finally said. "Really?" I was a little surprised. "Yes. I want everyone to know that you're mine, and only mine," He smiled. I smiled back and leaned down to kiss him. I pulled back, "You have to apologize to Gai, though, and tell him your reasoning for harassing him." He groaned, "Do I have to?" I looked at him sternly, "Alright, I'll do it. Anything for you," He said, which rewarded him with another kiss. "Since we're going to be official, we should proclaim our love for each other," He grinned at me and I knew what he meant. I hit his shoulder, "Oh, shut up, Kashi, you perv." Although, I wouldn't say that I was completely against the idea. "You love me for it."
"I do."
"Kakashi! My eternal rival! Along with the lovely Katsumi! To what do I owe this pleasure?" Guy grinned toothily at us. It was the next morning, and I had dragged Kakashi into town to find Guy. "Listen, Guy," Kakashi started, looking down at me. I nodded at him and he sighed, "Sorry about yesterday. I got a bit... Carried away. The reason I did that, though, is that..." He took my hand, making me blush a little, "We're dating." Guy's eyes went wide and he started sobbing profusely, pulling us both into his embrace. "MY FRIENDS ARE TOGETHER! THIS IS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL AND YOUTHFUL DAY!" He screamed. He squeezed us even harder. "Gai, let go, please," I mumbled into his arm. He let us out of his grip, still crying. "The jonin power couple, I'm ever so happy!" Kakashi pulled me into a side hug, "I like the sound of that. The jonin couple." We laughed, waving goodbye to Guy and going towards our secret sanctuary.
"That wasn't so bad, was it?" I said to Kakashi, poking at his ribs as we sat by the stream. "I guess not," He mumbled. I giggled, "You're adorable." He pulled his mask down and kissed my nose, "I could never be as adorable as you, though." I blushed and he chuckled, "See what I mean?" I tried to hide my face but he pulled my face to his, "I love it when I make you blush." He kissed me, so soft and yet so passionately. I wrapped my arms around his neck and laid back onto the grassy ground, pulling him down with me. He licked my bottom lip for entrance and I let him in. He explored my mouth with his tongue as one of his hands crept under my shirt, resting on my waist. I let out a soft moan. I could tell that he enjoyed hearing the pleasure he gave me as he smiled into the kiss. My hands wandered down his chest under his unzipped jonin vest. I felt him shiver under my fingertips. Did I really have the same effect on him as he had on me? He kissed down my neck, making me sigh gladly. My fingers trailed up and down his chest. I could feel his defined muscles through his skin-tight black shirt. He kissed my soft spot, making me moan. He took the clue and started to lightly suck on that spot. One of my hands drifted to his head, gripping his hair, as I threw my head back in pleasure. He bit at my skin lightly and I gasped. He returned to my lips and I knew he had left a love bite on my neck. He pulled himself away, "Now everybody will know you're mine," He smirked, giving me one last kiss, before taking my hand and helping me up. He hugged me by the waist and I leaned my head onto his shoulder as we left our secret spot, heading towards the apartment complex. I thought mindlessly about the days to come.
Everything was fine.
