Chapter 36: Happiness (Ending)

Kakashi was Rokudaime (Sixth Hokage) and I was so proud of him. He had taken in Shikamaru as his right hand. Sasuke had left the village (again) to think through his sins. Naruto was being praised by everybody. I smiled. He finally got the attention and approval that he deserved.

The war was over. I smiled happily and breathed in the fresh air. Mirai was skipping, holding my hand. We were going to the Hokage tower. I wanted to tell Kakashi something important. "Mommy, why can't you tell me first?" My daughter pouted. "Daddy would feel sad if I didn't tell him first. He really wanted to know, but I promise I'll tell you right after." She brightened up and continued skipping. I laughed at her. "Oh, Katsumi-sensei, hello!" Sakura greeted me. I smiled and hugged her, "Hello, Sakura. How are you doing?" She looked happy, yet sad at the same time, "I'm okay. But Sasuke left again... I even told him that I'd go with him, but he said that this trip and his past mistakes had nothing to do with me..." Baka Sasuke. "Look, Sakure, he'll be back before you know it. He feels the need to atone for his sins. Men are very hard to understand," I chuckled, "But he'll come back. You'll see that I'm right." She smiled at me, "Thanks, Katsumi-sensei. I hope you and Mirai-chan are doing well." She grinned at my daughter. "Well, goodbye, Katsumi-sensei." I nodded and made my way to the Hokage tower.

"Now, be a good girl and wait here, okay, Mirai?" I told Mirai, sitting her down on a bench in the hallway. She nodded and I entered Kakashi's office. "Seeing you in your new attire arouses me," I said quietly as I approach his desk. He pulled his mask down and smirked, kissing me. "Hello, Katsi, what brings you here?" "I need to tell you something." He looked at me, suddenly serious, "Is something wrong?" I shook my head, and leaned over to whisper in his ear, "I'm pregnant."

His eyes brightened and he stood up, "Really? You're not joking?" I giggled, "I'm not, Kashi, we're having another baby!" He walked around his desk and hugged me, "I'm so happy... I hope it's a boy." I grinned, "Our family is the best." He smiled, "It sure is." He kissed me once more. I was filled with the love, the happiness and the warmth of our life together. "I love you, Katsumi." I leaned against his forehead, closing my eyes.
