"Surprised to see me?" Obito said. I was frozen, as was Kakashi. Naruto looked confused – he didn't know who Obito was. "Oh, Katsumi, you've become so beautiful," He smirked, "Come join me. You could be very useful to me, with your Kekkei Genkai and whatnot." How did he know about my Kazegan? Had he been spying on us this whole time? "She isn't going anywhere," Kakashi growled and Obito laughed.

*Flashback*

"Katsumi!" I heard running behind me and stopped in my tracks. It was Obito, with his orange goggles and goofy smile. "Hi, Obito." I wasn't a very cheerful and energetic child, so I remained emotionless. "Hey, Katsumi! Where are you going?" He grinned at me. I motioned forward, "I was just going to sit on a bench to rest." He now stood by me, "Do you mind if I join?" I shrugged, "If you want."

I sat down on an empty bench and he plopped down next to me. I wondered how he always kept that smile on his face. It was... Contagious. It made me want to smile as well. He was speaking to me, about school and about Rin, maybe too much about Rin. I wasn't very focused on what he said. I did, however, notice how much he spoke about what.

"You really love her, don't you?" I suddenly said, sort of interrupting his banter. He stopped, blushing furiously. "Yeah... But she'll never feel that way about me. She likes that stupid Bakashi." I smirked at his mean nickname for Kakashi. "All the girls swoon over him, what's the big deal with him, anyway?" He looked sad. I sighed, "Well, he's a genius, a prodigy. His father is very famous and a very skilled ninja. He learns everything from him, and I know that he reads a lot." I looked down at my hands, "You'll be fine, Obito. You're going to be Hokage someday and save the world." He grinned at me and laughed, "Yeah, that's right! Once I awaken my Sharingan, I'm going to be the greatest, you'll see!" I smiled weakly at him and looked back down at my hands. "You know, I think Bakashi... Likes you." He said suddenly and my head shot up. "Are you crazy? It's Kakashi we're talking about. He doesn't like anybody." He nudged me with his elbow, "I heard he stood up for you the other day, when that bully was teasing you. He doesn't stand up for anybody." I stayed silent, thinking about what he said. He did have a point. "Awww, Katsumi, do you like Bakashi?" I looked back at my hands. "No," I said flatly. He just laughed and I eyed him, "What's so funny?" He fixed his goggles, "You're the only girl that doesn't like him! That's probably why he likes you." I shook my head, "Shut up, Obito. He doesn't like me. Now let's go home."

He teased me all the way to my apartment complex until I punched him in the head. "Okay, I'm really sorry, Katsumi, I won't tease you about it anymore." I sighed. "Sorry for hitting you earlier." He rubbed his head, "It's okay. But you're really strong. I'm going to have to remember not to get on your bad side." I laughed softly, something I rarely did. "Goodbye, Obito. I'll see you tomorrow. Try not to be late." He waved at me, "See you, Katsumi! I'll try!" He ran off and I made my way up to my empty, lonely apartment.

"Obito... Why?.." I whispered to myself. I didn't know what to make of all of this. Why does Obito want to activate the Infinite Tsukuyomi? Isn't it all Madara's idea? "Obito! What happened to you?" Kakashi said to him. Obito was frustrated, "You didn't keep Rin safe! Even though you promised!" Kakashi took a step back. Obito had hit a bad note. I knew how much Rin's death pained Kakashi.

*Flashback*

I could hear sobbing and screaming coming from across the hall. It was the middle of the night, what was going on? I walked into the hallway to investigate, only to realize that it was coming from Kakashi's apartment. I turned the doorknob – it was unlocked, so I entered.

Kakashi was frantically rubbing his hands raw under the running water. I could see them turn red, the skin starting to peel off. Tears were streaming down his face. "Kashi..." I whispered and he turned to me, his visible eye bloodshot and puffy. "It won't come off... It won't come off!" He screamed. I rushed over to him, pulling him away from the sink to his bed. I forced him to sit down while I quickly fetched a towel and bandages. He was shaking uncontrollably. I dried his trembling hands and started to bandage them. I didn't know if he had noticed what he had done to his hands. I didn't know if he cared or not. "Rin..." He croaked as I wrapped the bandages around his hands. I sniffled, but didn't let my tears fall. It hurt so much to see Kakashi in such pain. "I promised Obito... I promised him... He will never forgive me... Rin..." He shook more and I tried my best to steady him so I could finish up with his hands. Once I did, I hugged him. Tightly. He cried into my shoulder and I stroked his hair, trying to calm him down, "Kashi... None of it was your fault. She did it herself, you know that. Please, stop blaming yourself. I can't bear seeing you in such pain." I whispered quietly.

I don't know how long we sat there, his head against my shoulder, his arms wrapped around me, my hands soothingly stroking his hair. He had calmed down some time ago, but he never let go. He finally raised his head and my hands fall to his shoulders. He wouldn't look me in the eyes – he was ashamed. "I'm sorry I woke you, Katsi..." He said, "But... Thank you. Thank you so much." I sighed as he took one of my hands off of his shoulder and held onto it with his own. I stared down at our hands. I knew he would never forget Rin. I knew he would blame himself, no matter what I said, no matter what the facts were. I knew that he would always feel guilty for not fulfilling Obito's dying wish.

I just hoped he could learn to live happily.

*End of flashback*

Madara suddenly appeared next to Obito. "So the reanimated Madara and the fake Madara... They know each other?" Obito was talking to Madara about taking it slow and not attacking yet. Madara, however, thought otherwise. He ignored Obito, and was capturing the Tailed Beasts using a wood-style jutsu. "But that's..." I said and Kakashi nodded. That was the First Hokage's signature jutsu. The only one alive to use it now was Tenzo, I mean, Yamato, I mean... He had many different names. He was an experiment of Orochimaru's and I felt bad for him. He had been on Team 7 with Kakashi because he could restrain the Nine-tails inside of Naruto with his wood style.

Obito jumped down while Kakashi was shouting, asking him something. I couldn't hear what it was. My blood was pounding in my ears, and I was sure I was temporarily deaf. I knew Kakashi was weakened after using his Sharingan. Obito attacked and I jumped in front of Kakashi, activating my Kazegan. I swung at him, he deflected all of my wind blade attacks and punches. I slammed my hand to the ground, but he jumped away from the lightning. How was he this fast? This wasn't the Obito I had know at the Academy. This wasn't my friend Obito. This Obito wanted me dead. He smirked as I dodged his attacks. I reached for my kunai, but he was faster. A huge shuriken slashed through my stomach and threw me fifty feet backwards. I clutched my wound, blood seeping through my fingers. I dizzily watched Kakashi shout something I couldn't hear at me, and then fighting Obito. But he was took weak. Obito was winning. I could hear muffled screaming before I blacked out.
