Mia woke up the next morning to see Sebastian peacefully sleeping. She couldn't help but feel hurt, last night Sebastian seemed to be confused, Mia couldn't believe he thought he was Jonathan. Jonathan and Sebastian, there was nothing similar about them except maybe they both had dark eyes. But Jonathan only had dark eyes because of his dominant blood, but wait. "Jonathan." She spoke without thinking, and Sebastian woke up, she noticed. "Hey, sorry if I woke you I tend to think out loud a lot."
Sebastian chuckled, "I know. You never told me about being raised by Valentine."
Mia looked down, "I know and I'm sorry but I didn't want you to hate me. Since Valentine is sort of the one trying to overthrow the clave and all."
Sebastian sat up, and made her look at him. "Mia, I could never hate you, just tell me about your childhood. I want you to trust me, to remember me."
Her eyebrows scrunched in confusion, "Remember you?"
Sebastian froze, "Yea, remember me, always being there for you."
Mia nodded, but couldn't shake the feeling of uneasiness that seemed to stay within her since that nightmare two days ago. "Sebastian, you never told me about your childhood really either."
Sebastian stiffened. "Uh yea, I guess we have more to tell each other everyday huh." He seemed nervous and it made Mia hesitant. "Why don't you start first."
Mia nodded. "Well as you know I'm an Herondale, my parents are Stefan and Celine. I was 2 when Jace was born, he's my brother but no one seems to believe me, they all think he's a Morgenstern, even though he looks nothing like Valentine. Valentine took us in when my parents died, Valentine always told people he was Michael Wayland, but only I knew that he wasn't." She trailed off. "He threatened that he'd kill me if I told anyone so I didn't. At the age of 5, he started taking me to a mansion and leaving me to look around. He always told me to stay away from certain parts of the mansion which I usually did, but one day my curiosity got the best of me and I went to one of those parts, it happened to be the music room, that was my favourite room. So I went in, and I heard the worst playing ever." She was smiling, and Jonathan couldn't help but smile also, remembering the day they first met. "Valentine was with Jace, so I decided he wouldn't be back for a long time. So I went into the music room, and I saw a boy, he was my age. He sat at a grand piano, with some music sheets, trying to play; and he was so horrible, but it was so fascinating, watching him play. So, I leaned against the door frame and watched. But he saw me and..." Mia was grinning wide now.
"He said 'if you wanted to hear me play, you could have just asked', then you got so red and went all shy," Sebastian finished. Mia looked up at him.
"How do you know that?" She asked, as the wide grin from earlier was now replaced with a confused frown.
"Like I keep telling you, I am Jonathan," He answered. Mia started to shake her head.
"No, No, You are not Jonathan, I would know if you were him," Mia whispered. "And if you were Jonathan. Where's Sebastian, the real Sebastian, my boyfriend, the love of my life?" She asked, scared almost.
