Johnathan knew there was no way in which he should reveal himself to the others. But he needed Mia, more than he previously realised. Maybe he wasn't all monster as she believed. Looking around the dinner table, he saw all the smiling faces as the shadowhunters all ate. For once in his life Jonathan wanted to have a normal shadowhunter childhood, to see what it was like. What it was like to feel normal, for once in his life.
He wasn't really joining in any of the conversations they were currently having, as all he could think about was Mia.
Johnathan knew his father would never approve, he had to finish his mission.
