Mia settled on her bow and arrows along with two seraph blades for the trip Clary, Jace, and Mia were about to go on. Apparently Clary knew where the book she needed was, and decided to invite Mia along. She didn't refuse, in fact she happily agreed, as long as she could be somewhere far from Jonathan to resist that urge she felt to talk to him. As she descended down the steps and almost crashed into Jonathan. She growled lowly and quickly walked around him to portal through to where Clary and Jace were. Mia appeared in Amatis's kitchen and realized that Clary was explaining things to Jace.
"What are you doing here?" Jace asked his sister who just stood there, and Mia rolled her eyes.
"Isn't it obvious. I'm going with you." She replied.
Jace rolled his eyes and looked back at Clary, "Anyways, Magnus was right- there are misdirection wards on the manor," he told her slowly, "I'll take you there, but it's not close, walking, it might take us five hours."
Mia drew out her stele from the loop on her belt and handed it to Clary, "Come on Jace, with Clary we never have to actually walk," Mia said as her and Clary smirked.

Mia gasped as she made contact with the floor, she slowly sat up and looked around seeing Clary barley getting up before also looking around and seeing the scenery. Mia almost felt sick as she looked around the familiar room. This was the study, somewhere Valentine always seemed to like to be. Mia looked at the large shape covered by a white sheet that her brother had come out from behind and immediately smiled, knowing it was her grand piano that Valentine had gotten for her but had never let her touch, she only got to play it when he wasn't around.
"Clary?" Mia heard Jace say, as he slowly walked towards Clary. "Are you alright?" He worriedly asked Clary, and Mia shook her head with a smile as she stood up.
"Fine," Clary answered. "Aside from the fact that Amatis will probably kill me when we get back, considering that I smashed all her plates and opened up a portal in her kitchen." She added and Mia couldn't help but smile at Clary's response.
Jace reached a hand down to her and helped her to her feet. "For whatever it's worth," he started. "I was very impressed."
"Oh by the angel," Mia muttered under her breath.
"So this is where you two grew up?" Clary asked. "Its like something out of a fairytale," She added which made Mia scoff.
   "Yea right." Mia commented.
"I was thinking a horror movie." Jace spoke and Mia agreed completely.
"God it's been years since I've seen this place." Mia and Jace spoke at the same time.
"It didn't used to be so--." Jace was cut off as Clary tried to finish the sentence.
"So cold?" Clary asked as Mia noticed she shivered.
"No." Mia started for Jace. "It was always cold." She answered.
"I was going to say dusty." Jace clarified as he pulled out his witch light stone and Mia pulled out hers. The light from both lighting up the dark space quite brightly. "This is the study, and we need the library." Jace said as he started the walk to the library with Clary following and Mia walking ahead.
Mia recognized the door at the end of the hallway and smiled to herself, remembering all of the times she used to go in that library to be alone. Mia stepped inside after holding the door for Clary and Jace.
"This is the library?" Clary whispered and Mia had a sudden flashback of 10 year old little Jace reading his French books that Mia had once read when she was 6. She came back to reality and heard Jace telling Clary about the language book schedule.
"French on Saturday, English on Sunday,--- but I can't remember now what day Latin was, if it was Monday or Tuesday....." He admitted and Mia moved across the room knowing exactly where the 'Simple Recipes for Housewives' book would be. As she scanned she found it but Jace walked up behind her and took it from her.
"Yea sure Jace go ahead and take it out of my hands, why not." Mia sarcastically mumbled.
"Simple Recipes for Housewives," he said. "Here it is."
Clary hurriedly walked across the library to Jace and took the book from him. When she opened it, dust swarmed up from the pages. A large, square hole had been cut out of the center of the book. Fitted inside the hole was a book bound in white leather and the title printed in gilded Latin letters, which Mia surprisingly remembered how to read. When Clary lifted the book open, the pages were covered with thin spidery handwriting in Greek. Mia smiled, Greek had always been her third favorite, right after French and Russian.
It read: The Book Of The White on the front and the inside was all for Magnus purposes. Jace slipped the book into Clary's coat pocket before turning back to the bookshelves, tracing his fingertips along the spines of rows and rows of books. Clary started talking to Jace, and Jace started to tell her of the horrible treatment of Valentine Morgenstern. The thing that caught Mia's attention was when he brought up the story about him touching one of the books bound in leather on the top shelf. Mia knew exactly what those were and she couldn't help but remember the pain and guilt she got for trying to look at them. Valentine was adamant that nobody but him could touch the top shelf. Mia was so caught up in her head that as soon as Clary and Jace started knocking down books from the shelves Mia jumped slightly startled as she turned to look at the two.
"By the angel,  why do you two have to be so hesitant about it." She joked as she strided over to the bookcase and knocked off the whole row of books on the 4th shelf. "If you expect to make a mess and have fun with it, at least know how to do it right." Mia teased, and the other two smiled before starting the fun.
