I sit in the seat he points to very uncomfortable. I look around this room. Its not a room I remember being in before. He sits down across from me and gestures to a door. I look over and there are police men standing at the door and in walks Nathaniel, Emily C, Brendan and a few others that survived the fire. They all looked scared just as I had a few moments ago.
They all sit around the table as they are told. We all look at eachother scared. Until someone finally speaks up. I didn't realize she came in but she did.
"So why exactly are we in here."Emily B says very loudly like always. Emily is a weird one. Her clothes are always mismatch. Like plaid and Stripes she's weird but we all Love her. Someone else speaks up that I also didn't realize walked into the room.
"Yeah did we do something wrong?" Macc states standing up. Macc is a beautiful human being but she's I don't know weird to say. When we were in our sophomore year me and Liv always told her we were going to get her a boob shelf. We actually did end up getting her a boob shelf.
"Will you tell us whats going on." I obviously state annoyed.
" You all were there the night of the fire,right?" The officer with blonde hair says.
"Yes." We all speak in unison.
"You all are suspects of that night and we just need to talk to all of you separate and get all the stories in line."
" Ok well can I go first i'm just starting my senior paper and don't want to be behind."I state this obviously annoyed.
"Sure I was gonna do this alphabetically but ok." The officer says obviously annoyed.
"Thank you,"I say this as cocky as I can.
I get up and walk in to the room he pointed to and I sit down. I run my Hand through my hair as I know the line of questions coming.
"So you were there the night of the fire?"
"Obviously"
"So let me see, tell me what happened."
"Oh gosh were do I start?"
" You know from the beginning." He says with a cocky tone.
" No duh, Ok so here what happened that I remember, we had just left the High school it was after a drum line performance. We all were really excited so a friend of mine came up with the idea to throw a small party."
"Which friend?"
"It was Nate. He said we all deserved to take a few hours to have to ourselves before school started in the next like two days. We all agreed to it and me and Emily B got in my car and drove to get drinks and stuff while the others went to the old high school. I mean it wasn't a good idea to party in a school that caught fire like three years ago but we did.When me and Emily got there . . .
"This music is really loud." Emily said as we pulled up.
"Its not that loud." I say laughing as she covers her ears.
We get out of the car and I grab the groceries out of the back and walk in putting them on the counter.Everyone is dancing and having a good time. I walk back over to Emily as she sits in one of the chairs around the small fire someone had built because of the small breeze.
I pull out my phone and Text Liv and Sarena to see if they wanted to come over and Hang with us all they both replies with no because they were working.i stand up and pull Emily's Arm and we go dance. Out of the corner of my eye I see a guy walk in. I know him,sadly I didn't know him till he got closer his name is Trevor. He walks in and comes over to were I am now not dancing and pulls someone into a kiss as Emily yells, "Ewww."
Me and him go sit by the fire and talk while everyone is either dancing or shoving there faces with the food I bought. After about like three hours a lot more people showed up some we knew and others we didn't. We all end up drinking by the end of the night. One guy walks through the door looking weird none of us knew him but we were all to drink to care. He walked passed us all not saying a word and walking to the back and out the back door. We were creeped out but we didn't think about it to much.
About an hour later Emily starts yelling over the music,
"I smell Gas like really bad."
" Shut up"
"No you don't"
Multiple answers are thrown at her and all the sudden I see smoke and start smelling the gas to. I then from the corner of my eye see fire. I start screaming as well as Emily. A lot of people start rushing out of the building but not many make it the building went up in flames to quick.
"I have to save them,"I scream.
"Its to late."Nate screams.
"No i need to save the others."
"Liv and Sarena are ok we need to call the police and have them a firetruck and an ambulance come ."
I look around frantically looking for Trevor but hes no where to be found this sends me into automatic panic. I stand up from where I was sitting and run toward the burning building. I get about to the edge and all I see are bodies some are barely alive and others are gone. I run in and I get about ten people out that makes about 50 out of almost 100 people made it out and Trevor wasn't one of them. As I go to run back in the one end of the building explodes and it sends me flying back and I slam hard on the ground. I pass out the only thing I hear are sirens.
As I slowly gain my sight back I get up to go toward the building again but i'm pulled back by Nate. He starts screaming telling me not to move. I sit there helpless not able to move. It takes about 15 minutes until the ambulance and police get there. There were about three fire engines and seven ambulances. There was also a news van. Of course that was expected. I try to get out of going to the hospital insisting that I was fine but they said no. They slowly start putting the fire out as more kids begin to leave the scene either by ambulance of some official driving them.
"You got there and what?"
" I just told you."
"No, you didn't."
At that moment I realize I had just zoned out I just relived that night. Out of nowhere a tear finds its way out of my eye. . .
