Fire Hazard🔥🔥

Chapter 20

   I ended up going to the hospital. It was nothing big just major bruising. After leaving the hospital I ended up going back to Liv's and I stayed up to explain to her and rain (Sarena) what happened. I end up waking up around five so I go and get a shower. When I get out I put on a plain grey shirt with a flannel and skinny jeans. Then I head downstairs to make breakfast for Liv and rain. I went and woke them up so they could eat. We ended up downstairs all at the same time. We finished eating and headed to school.

   "Hey, I won't be home right after school we have a marching band competition."

    "Do you know what time you'll be home?" Liv and Rain asked almost at the same time.

    "No, but I'll be with the band so I'll be fine, no one's gonna hurt me."

    "That's what you said before this," Liv said pointing to my stomach.

     "I'll be fine," I say as we pull up in the schools parking lot.

    I get out running toward the school to get inside. One because it started raining and two I got a text from Natalie that she was in the band room and needed to talk to me. Usually, I wouldn't go but at the same time I wanna hear what she has to say and today's a band day so Mr.B is here so nothing bad will happen.
    As I get closer to the band room my heart starts racing. I stop right outside the doors looking in seeing a lot of people in there looking toward the middle of the room. It was quite. As I opened the door it creaked and everyone's head snapped toward the door. Everyone looked as though they weren't expecting me to come. I walked down the ramp as Mr.B walked out of his office walking toward where I was standing at the end of the ramp. I stood there for a minute as he approached me.

    "I'll be right over here if you need anything."

    "I'll be fine Mr.B, but thanks."

  I walk over toward Natalie and stopped short looking around at the crowd of people looking like they are ready to attack. The band room doors open and Liv and rain come in obviously having heard of what was happening. I turn to look at them and then back to Natalie.

    "What did you want?" I ask wanting to get this over with.

     "What, no hello for your band mom."

     "What did you want that was so urgent?"

      "I know who actually started the fire."

      "It won't make a difference you poured the gas."

      " It would help to have both people wouldn't it?"

      "Well yeah."

      " Exactly why I've asked you to come."

      " What's the catch?"

      "Why does there always have to be a catch?"

       "With you there always is."

       "Ok, so there is a catch."

       " What is it?"

        "You have to delete the videos on your phone from the bathroom and the pictures of the texts you got."

        " No" saying this made everyone gasp knowing I'm usually a pushover.

        "What?"

        "I said no. If I have to give up all the evidence that I already have then no. I'll find the other person my own way."

        "You're making a mistake."

        "No, no I'm not."

    I turn around to walk away and I hear her footsteps running up from behind me and I quickly turn around to see her running with her fist up. I swing around and grasp her fist in my hand. Not knowing what was next I swung her arm around and put her fist in the middle of her back and looked at everything who was shocked.

     "Where did you learn that?"

     " A friend."

     "Let go of me." She yelled

     "No. Someone go get Mr.B from the hallway."

        "Let me go now."

         " No, I've let you push me around too much and it getting me nowhere so your gonna face the consequences."

     Mr.B walked in with Mr.Crosson and Officer Haines on his heals. I let go of Natalie as Officer Haines got her into custody. I walked over toward the doors to leave for my class as did everyone else and they patted me on the back for standing up for myself for once. I went through my day just like usual. Going to classes sitting in the back.
        Finally, lunch came and I had that with Liv and Rain. It's not like I actually eat lunch but I still liked it. I walked up to our table and sat down. As everyone got there I ended up getting called to the office. I got up giving them an apologizing look. I walked down to the office and told the lady my name and she sent me down to Mr.Crossons office. As I walked in I found my Mom and Officer Haines in there.

      "Hi, Alexis."

      "Hello, mom."

      "Alexis when was the last time you've talked to your mother?" Officer Haines asked me.

       "Ermm. . . Like four weeks ago."

       "I was so worried about you, I thought you got hurt."

        "Yeah right. Is this why I got called down here?"

        "Yes, your mother would like you to come home."

        "No."

        "Your not 18 yet you're only 17."

       " I've missed you so much." She came to give me a hug and I stormed out if the office and went back to lunch.

     "What was that about?" They all asked in unison.

      "Nothing important, what did I miss?"

      " Nothing much, Rain just spit potatoes out that's all that was eventful," Liv explained

     " That sounds disgusting "

     "It was." Rain explained

     We all laughed as the bell rang to dismiss us from lunch to go to our next class. The day went by quickly. At the end of the day, we all met outside by my car.

      " So where do you guys wanna go for dinner," I asked.

      "Well, we can go to the German restaurant," Liv added.

       "That's fine with me, what about you guys?"

        "Sounds good." They all said in unison.

         "I'm driving and I'm not paying this time."

     We all laughed and set off before I had to leave for marching band.
