I sit there on the couch contemplating what to say back. Or should I not text back and act like I didn't see it. As I sit there contemplating what to do Sarena comes back from the bathroom and Liv comes out of the kitchen.I finally make a decision.
"Hey guys I have to go somewhere but it won't take long."
"Where are you going?" They both say almost at the same time
" The place where the fire happened," I mumble
" What did you say?" Liv says
" The place where the fire happened," I say a little more audible.
"Speak clearly," Sarena says
"I'm going to the place where the fire took place," I say this time almost yelling it.
" You're not going alone." They both say
"I don't need you guys I can do this myself."
"Who are you going to see?" They both say
" I don't know," I mumble
" Alexis cut the crap who are you going to see," Liv says
Shocked me and Sarena look over at her Liv only swears when she's mad or worried. I contemplate actually saying what I should say.
" I don't know."
" How do you not who you are going to see?"
" It was a blocked no-name number."
" Well, we almost lost you once to a stupid fire you're not going by yourself," Liv says this time she sounded more worried than before.
" I'm just meeting a person, not a fire."
" Well I don't care obviously that person meant to kill you since you were there so no you're not going alone," LIv says
" I want to go alone."
" Well too bad," Liv says
" Liv I will be fine."
" No I lost over twelve friends in that fire and I'm not going to lose another."
" Ew, why are we friends?"
" Because if we weren't then we'd all be sane," Liv says this and we all laugh.
Obviously not letting me go alone they both get ready. I go back to Sarena's room to steal, I mean borrow a jacket that I won't give back for a while. when I get back there her and Liv are almost ready. I go to her closet and grab the black jacket that I keep taking and she keeps taking it back.
" Are you guys ready?"
" Almost."
I walk out to the kitchen and grab a water and chug it down. I don't know why but this is making me really nervous to find out who is going to be waiting for me at the site of the fire. I don't know who it is, who I'm looking for, nothing. This is actually making me really nervous. Plus drinking that water I really have to pee. Usually, Sarena has to pee but not this time. I go up to the bathroom and do my business and when I'm done Liv and Sarena are done and ready for the door.
" You guys don't have to go."
"Well, we're going to shut up and come on."
"UGH, I hate you guys sometimes."
"And the rest of the time you love us so shut up."
As we walk out of the house I take my phone out and message the mystery person.
Me: I'm on my way. It will take me about twenty minutes to get there."
Them: Ok well hurry
Me: Ok I can only drive so fast. Where do you want to meet?
Them: well um what about the back of the building?
Me: Why the back
Them: because I said so just hurry up
Me: Ok I'm coming
As we start to drive, we get anxious the closer we get to the building. I don't know exactly how to put into words besides being anxious. It's weird how a fire just sprang up and we lost over fifty people. Now, this unnamed person decides to message me, it's weird. As we pull into the back of the now burnt to the crisp building. I can feel my anxiety start to skyrocket. I drive to the back of the building.
" Why are we going back here?" Liv says
"This is where they want to meet."
Instead of going straight back I pull to the side of the building and get out.As Liv and Sarena start to get out I stop them.
"Stay here and if I need you I'll call or yell."
"No ." They both yell
"Keep your voices down this is still a crime scene. I'm going back alone if I need you I'll yell"
"No, you're not going alone."
"Yes I am, and that's final."
As I say this I can tell that they know I'm not joking they both sit back in their seats and let me go.I start to walk away from the car and watch as their heads follow me to the back of the building and then I disappear behind the building. I walk further and further until three figures come from behind the building. I notice the one as being Chase and the other as being Zane but the last figure I couldn't figure it out. I walk closer until I hear something behind me. out of the corner of my eye, I see three other people behind me. One I recognize as being a friend of me and Emily and the other two I have no idea who they are. I hear people walking closer and I look back at the corner of the building hoping to escape. As I turn I see Liv and Sarena pop their heads out the side of the building. As I go to walk that way I find myself on the ground. I look up and I find that someone is sitting on me and another is holding my arms down and the others hold my legs as the person on top of me starts to whisper stuff in my ears, stuff I wish I didn't hear. As she finishes talking someone pops out of the building. She comes over and as soon as I know it I find myself laying on the ground barely conscious as I see the group of people run away from my body and Liv and Sarena run toward me. As I'm laying there I can feel myself floating away into unconsciousness. The last thing I hear is Liv on the phone with someone and Sarena at my yelling at me.
" WHAT DID SHE SAY TO YOU?"
" ALEXIS COME ON WE NEED TO KNOW WHAT SHE SAID." At this moment Liv runs over when she's off the phone.
" ALEXIS WHAT DID SHE SAY, PLEASE ANSWER US WHAT DID SHE SAY?"They could tell I wasn't fully there.
"COME ON BEFORE HELP GETS HERE WHAT DID SHE SAY TO YOU?" This time they both are yelling.
"She said......"
